My grundo finally became a shoyru (which means I can send him around and get the Bless You, Shoyru avatar!! on my accounts), and my petpet remained a pile of soot.

Today has been a wonderful day for my avatar collecting! I have been looking for someone to lend ZDAP on only partial collat., since I couldn't afford it here, and have had no luck. Well, I had written on my user lookup that I was looking to be lent zdap, chokato, and meowclops, and I got a neomail out of the blue from someone saying that they had zdap and chokato on their guild account and would lend them to me for free.

She said that normally she just buys from shops without looking at the person's user lookup, but on a whim decided to check mine out, and since I had similar interests (literature and astronomy), she thought she would take a chance and trust me. :):)

What's that famous line? "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers."

Welcome Jess! Wow, halfway to a faerie pb in a month, how are you earning neopoints so fast?

I save for loads of stuff, it changes every other week lol. Sometimes I think I am saving for a certain paint brush, sometimes a certain avatar, and I am piecing together a third lab map just now to make a side account into an adoption account.

My Grundo gained two levels, but nothing happened to my petpet, bummer. :guiltysmiley:

Nothing happened to my pet or my petpet. It is funny, I had immediate success with my jubjub and with my gnorbu, and nothing with the grundo.

I do change the language quite frequently, it is just annoying. She refuses to eat a 2/3 sausage omelette no matter what way you cut it... but she says that a whole sausage omelette is her favorite, and will never hesitate to eat 1/3. I do agree that it adds to their personality, like my Lupe, he is always breaking toys. But it just makes me think of him like a big, awkward doggie knocking stuff over with his tail. :) It's cute, as opposed to my overly finicky zafara, which is mostly just frustrating.

My Zafara is always refusing to eat this, refusing to read that, is always hungry, and refuses to play with the Gruslen I bought for the avatar.

Anyone else have some diffucult pets?

Jellyneo has a great item database that lists all items in Neopia and their estimated value, it can sometimes be up or down a couple hundred from what it is being sold for in Neopia, though.

Just this morning I FINALLY got the Blumaroo court jester avatar. I have been telling that stinkin' joke twice a day for months!

My jubjub went spotted, and my yellow pawkeet increased to level two... I am pretty lucky.. I have only been zapping my side account for about a week, and I already have a robot gnorbu, and a spotted jubjub. No messing around this time, I guess, lol.

Amitybelle, I read something about having character paint brushes on neopets a while ago, and TNT said it was not possible because those characters were individual characters in themselves, and that it would not make sense to have 1,000 Hannahs running around.

I thought of (what I thought would be) the perfect paint brush the other day, but wouldn’t you know it, now I forgot!! But I like the idea of the Valentine’s one, as well as the alien one. That would be cute!! The spy one is excellent, as well. Goodness, I would spend money to no end to make my Lupe a spy (assuming the design for the Lupe would look good)!

I never get any good random events, either. Well, once I think I got a Transmog potion, but it was one of the less expensive ones.

I'm saving up for a baby paint brush, too! :)

Yeah, I thought about that, but I think I just really want to make the third account a little adoption service type thing, and I don't want to shuffle my pets around too much. But I appreciate the suggestion. :)

I have three accounts, one main and two side. The only account without 4 pets is the only one I do not have a lab map for.

Both of my other accounts have 4 pets. :) Otherwise I would. Oh whyyyy is there a four pet limit?! Whyyyy? Lol.

I don't think they would get mad. Heck, you are taking a plain old hungry, sad, sick pet out of the pound, making it into a gorgeous, healthy, colorful pet and finding a good home for it. I have been thinking for quite a while of doing this on my other side account, as that is the only account that is not full up with 4 pets and I am certainly not giving any of my lovelies away, lol.

I think of it as fostering, like people do for pets at animal shelters. And now that transfer is an option, I would definitely do that rather than repounding, as well. Now the only thing to do is get a third lab map, but it will probably be a while before I can do that again. :sad02:

I like it, I think that it's a fun way to customize pets. And for those who don't want to or can't afford to spend money for NC cards (which I really shouldn't what with the whole poor college student thing), they have backgrounds and wearables for NPs, too.
