I believe you are referring to Acrostic poetry. :yes:

 

And the main problem I have when writing poetry is simply that I can't fit my ideas into a poetic form. I write prose okay, but I find the general structure of poetry too restrictive for me to properly express what I have in mind. But that's just me.

That's my best effort. :P

I've written poetry once or twice, but I doubt it was ever more than mediocre. I tend towards descriptive writing, but I doubt I'm any good at that either.

Nice poem...a little short though. I'm not sure I grasp what you are trying to say, or if you are trying to say something at all, I like it. I don't know what it means, but I like it! I don't know how that works, but... :eh:
