Another w/ the part 12 problem

I am having a problem with the prompts for the petpet in part 12 as well. I tried it 15 times last night, another 15 this morning, 10 awhile ago and then 25 just maybe 30mins ago ... I am waiting the full minute plus a little more, as instructed. Dunno what I am doing wrong but ppl never appears... :crying:

Are you sure you are doing each move correctly?

 

Tongue Out: Feed

Paw Up: Bandage

Paw on Mouth (Green Face): Give medicine

Head Down: Wait

 

And you wait for a minute (using the neopets time) before clicking on "Check on Vaeolus"?

 

Cause if you are and you have all the correct equiptment then it should work and I don't know what the problem is. This worked first time for me, so that is all I can help with.

I appreciate your help.. I will just try it again tomorrow. the last time I tried it, I would write what I did and if I was waiting or not down... dunno, I must be doing something wrong, however...

It took me about 3 hours to finally get it, lol. I dunno what i changed the last time i tried, but it finally went. I was getting SO frustrated. Keep at it...it works XD

I have 2 additional suggestions:

 

1) If it doesn't work after several tries, clear your cache and take a break for half an hour or so before trying again.

2) If waiting a little extra doesn't work, some people have mentioned that they only got it to work if they checked in slightly before the minute instead of after. :yes:

Ok I tried again up to 13. I kept numbers-action-time for each time ... still no go. I noticed that after I completed the action (feed/bandage/medicate/wait), sometimes there would be a different petpet picture than the one that I responded to. arrggg. I have no idea why it is NOT working. heh I have cleaned the cach after all but the 1st two times I tried.... :crying:

See maybe that was my problem. I kept clicking wait when it showed i should wait. Are you just supposed to WAIT, and not click wait? lol

Ok I have tried it w/o using the wait link before waiting the minute..

 

use link check on - use link feed/medicate/wait/bandage - then just waited 1min or more after the action

 

I have also tried it using the wait link for every 1 min waiting period..

so for the waiting period of 1 minute, you are suppose to press the wait link after the action to take care of the petpet and then wait 1 min??

No, you are not suppose to click wait unless the wait action is require. In other words you are only suppose to click on wait if Vaeolus has his head down.

 

I am really confused as to what you are doing wrong of how you can not get passed this part.

 

Let me clarify you are clicking on the Vaeolus? Then doing the required action? Then waiting until the next minute using the Neopets time? Then clicking on check on Vaeolus? and repeat?

Just to make things clear to everybody, the appearance of the petpet is supposed to determine which action you take next (sorry if this is kinda obvious already). :yes:

 

If you're having problems, then check out this handy mini-guide that's popped up plenty of times around this forum.

I'm assuming you already found the petpet and have all the healing materials.

-the Elixir

-the pie

-the bandages

 

Now go to the petpet.

If the cute little guy looks like he's about to barf, give him medicine.

 

If he's bowing down to you, do "wait"

 

If he's drooling the Mississippi, feed him "pie"

 

If he wants to shake your hand, "bandage" him.

 

Now, every minute, "Check" in on him, and apply the remedies according to how he looks. It doesn't have to be exactly 60 seconds, just AT LEAST. So if you checked him at 2:00:00 NST, he wants to shake your hand, apply bandages. Then, at 2:01:02, notice it's not exactly one minute. You can go a little over. In fact, do so, so you don't accidentally go too early. The next one can be 2:02:45 even. Just make sure at least 60 pass between each remedy you apply and check in. After you do this 10 times, meaning you will take a little over 10 minutes, the Skeith from the PPL should appear and you can proceed.

 

HOOO, gosh, too tired to concentrate on grammar right now. I hope you understood it all.

 

Hugemongo example:

 

Check in at 3:00:00/hand shake/apply bandages

Check in at 3:01:34/barf/elixir

Check in at 3:02:36/bow/wait

Check in at 3:03:37/bow/wait

Check in at 3:04:44/drool/pie

Check in at 3:05:47/barf/elixir

Check in at 3:06:48/hand shake/bandages

Check in at 3:07:50/drool/pie

Check in at 3:08:54/barf/elixir

Check in at 3:09:59/barf/elixir

Check in at 3:11:07/bow/wait

 

Notice that the seconds (nn:nn:SECONDS!) are greater than 60 between each. On the last two, 60 seconds after 3:09:59 would be 3:10:59, so the minutes jumped over to 11. ^^

 

 

Now remember, Vaeolus are awesome, and don't forget it.

 

Do keep in mind that for some people it's better to check in slightly before the minute instead of after - it seems to depend on your internet connection and such.
