YouKnowWho
Why does the background shop restock so little?
DOOM Bringer
I suppose it's because there aren't that many Backgrounds compared to other items. If the shop had barely any items, but restocked a lot, then the items wouldn't be worth very much. That's my theory at least. Perhaps when more Backgrounds are released, the Restock time will change. antiaircraft
Or maybe TNT's just trying to keep the wearables feature alive and hot for as long as possible...
DOOM Bringer
Well that could be true as well. Generally a newly released wearable item will be expensive for a while, but after a few weeks they become very cheap. Since I restock in Uni's Clothing a lot, I've seen this happen a fair bit. So some advice: If you obtain a newly released wearable, I advise to sell it as fast a possible.
antiaircraft
Thanks for the advice. :) This is slightly off topic, but does this mean that the best way to restock at Uni's Clothing is to keep an eye out for any items that have turned up in the news recently? DOOM Bringer
Uh if you're really attentive and know which items are new, then yes I suppose so. They start out like many new items, they are expensive at first, until enough are restocked and brought into circulation and then they deflate. So I guess that you will make more money restocking newer items. But I suppose that works with just about any item at first.
antiaircraft
Does that apply for items that have recently been made wearable as well (excluding piles of dung)?
DOOM Bringer
Well the price jumps at first and then sinks slowly. Of course the prices for wearables are all a lot lower due to there being heaps of wearables. When I used to restock closer to the beginning of Customization the prices for the items started out a lot higher than they do now.
antiaircraft
Ah, I see... I still find most wearables grossly expensive (with the exception of dung of course).
DOOM Bringer
True, but there are heaps that are extremely cheap. There are many that cost under 5k. You just need to know which items to look for :D
awscheeler
As a frequent restocker at Mystical Surroundings (in a futile attempt to collect all of the backgrounds by rsing) I've found that at each restock there will be around 20 of the basic colors; 15 of the Grassy Meadow, Fire, Faerie, Split and Sketch; sometimes 4 Bubble Paper or Cardboard Box and almost always 1 each of at least three different UBs or rare ones. I've seen MS restock around 6 times an hour on average, but in rapid succession where three RS will occur within three minutes... Good luck. DOOM Bringer
I think I'll try and RS at Mystical Surroundings sometime tonight. If I discover anything/get something good I'll mention it here :D
