Awesome_Paul
My modem is like any other. Has 6 Lights: Wireless, USB, Ethernet, Internet, DSL, Power. Wireless, USB, Internet, DSL and Power are all lit normally. But recently the DSL Light is turned off (It looks on, but isn't as bright as the others) Any advice? should I phone the Company that supplies my internet? Loc
It is probably lit only half way because the other lights carry over to it, just check your connection.
antiaircraft
Like Loc said, if your connection is working fine, then that shouldn't be a problem. If you have problems with the connection it's probably best to check with your ISP and/or get a tech guy to have a look at your modem. Awesome_Paul
Yeah I was talking to TJ about it. I tried restarting it/ resetting it. But the DSL Light appears for the first 20 mins that its first turned on. Though I will most likely phone the supplier and try and get through to the tech support. Loc
It really depends on your modem and computer, so there isn't much I can say.
Ellie_Penguin
If it's bugging you a lot, and if it isn't giving you problems then, call your ISP and set up an appointment with an specialist. He'll check your modem and will tell you whether it needs to be changed. Sometimes that's a symptom that your modem is getting old and will need replacement. I didn't see that symptom with mine and one day it suddenly just died, but my company came in and installed a brand new one. So if you can change it, then do it ASAP. Sometimes it might take DAYS to replace it so it's better to get it checked and then set up an appointment to change it. I had to wait a few days without internet because of that.
