Meeptroid
I was searching around Wikipedia when I noticed the ancient Game & Watch system. It was kind of neat seeing how similar it resembled the Nintendo DS. It's seems as if it served as the blueprint for the DS. Who knows, I just thought I'd like to share it with you. Dillon
Whoa thats pretty close. Hmmm mabey Nintendo wanted to revamp it?
Meeptroid
That's my precise thought, Dillon. Nintendo, to my knowledge, never stated that it was though. Although the comparison does seem to prove that it is, doesn't it?
antiaircraft
Probably they just thought that the old design was good, and they incorporated it into the new one. Although the DS does look shinier... *drools*
Dillon
Well the first was like a primitve version of th DS. and mabey Nintendo doesnt want to admit that Game and Watch failed? Possibly.
Meeptroid
Well the first was like a primitve version of th DS. and mabey Nintendo doesnt want to admit that Game and Watch failed? Possibly. Could be. I wouldn't really say that Game & Watch failed, but it did seem rather unknown. I hardly knew what that thing was a few years ago. I didn't even know where Mr. Game and Watch was from on SSBM.
Dillon
I've never heard of it til now. Hmmmm mabey it just faded away.
Meeptroid
Either way, Nintendo most certainly used Game & Watch as a blueprint of some sort. Like AA said, they must of thought the design was too good to forget.
Parshy
I think the G&W was going to be the same thing as the DS, but with out the Touch-screen Cap.
smumpkins
I've never heard of that system before. Kind of strange that I've played all other versions of Nintendo systems, except that one. >_<;;
Dillon
Hmm mabey Nintendo is starting a conspiracy against you.

MOPGhost
I noticed that since the DS came out. (When I was playing SSBM I said who is the Mr. Game and Watch!? So I search it up.)
Crusher
Wow. My guess is that Nintendo's researchers found that the design had been highly liked by a large test group, so they decided to go with some of the ideas. Certainly, the interface is highly advanced for its time on the Game and Watch. Cameron
