evenstarsdie Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I remember when i first played there was a game where you had to follow various clues that led you to different parts of the site and there were about 10 clues. When you'd finished you got a map piece as a reward. I think they should bring this game back. Discuss.
Meeptroid Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Treasure Maps? You mean like the Spooky Maps and Laboratory Maps? You can aquire them through random events. I think that game was a promotion thing or something. I have the faintest clue of what you are talking about though, so I'll look it up I guess... Update: I found the clues you were talking about. Thirty or of them. But like I said, I'm sure it was like one of those mini-plot things.

And there wasn't thirty clues it was a game where you got so many clues per day and each day you completed them all you got a map piece

You're asking for an updated version of the game? 5 or 6 years ago is quite a while, so I'm sure some pages have been deleted/upgraded. Perhaps you can e-mail Neopets themself. Of course, you may not get a answer most likely. Due to the fact there are a TON of other players probably e-mailing them left and right. Or how about a petition?

I know it doesn't exist anymore, it didn't exist last time i restarted neopets (which would be a couple of years ago now), i was wondering if anyone else remembered it and thought it should be brought back I may do a petition, however i'd rather someone verified it actually did exist and that i'm not going crazy before i do that! ^_^ EDIT: Can i see the links to the clues you found, i'll see if they're anything like what i remember
Meeptroid Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Well, it sounds interesting enough. And I do believe you. Anyone who's a Neopets Addict probably wouldn't be making something up about it. Here's one link I found: http://www.4k2k.com/neopets/treasure_hunt.htm I'll find more if you want.

Yeah those were the clues, but you didn't get asked all of them each time, you got asked i think it was around 10. It was a truly awesome game cause it let people who were rubbish like me get treasure map pieces b)
Meeptroid Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I understand what you mean. Sounds like a pretty neat concept if you ask me. I guess if Neopets came up with new riddles and whatnot, it could be possible for a comeback. Like I said before, petitions are a great way to show somebody what you want.
evenstarsdie Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 Would you like to be nice and help me set up said petition? *does a sweet and innocent you know you want to help me really face*
Meeptroid Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Would you like to be nice and help me set up said petition? *does a sweet and innocent you know you want to help me really face* I don't see why not. Do you want it rightfully so on one of your petpages or something? I can figure out something for you to right on it.
smumpkins Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 I remember that. And most times, the map piece you got was a space map piece. Gosh, I haven't played that in so long. I was just thinking about it the other day, though. I'd sign the petition. :-D
Lutarist Jake Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 That game sounds like fun. I really would support your petition when it comes out!
smumpkins Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Believe me, it was fun. The only prize I remember ever getting was the underwater or the space. They never gave out secret laboratory pieces. I think it was their way of setting that one aside from the rest. :glasses:
Boomer Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Sounds like fun i would defintly sign a petition.
Lutarist Jake Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 So, when are you gonna start the petition.q
Mike. Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I did love that game! But we can't do it now because all the prices of map pieces would deflate. =/
Strategos Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Well, it would only deflate the cost of Space Maps, since those were the only ones it gave out, and that would be a good thing, since they're so rare nowadays, since that was the only way to get them.
Crusher Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I don't remember it, but it sounds great! I'd sign.
funkeh_renn Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 I remember that game. It was good fun. *cough*Petitionplease*cough*
smumpkins Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I would gladly sign it. I mean, how often does anyone see the space maps, these days?
