Erm, you're not being very clear. What desktop items are you referring to?

To delete a desktop shortcut, select it (one click) and then press "delete" on your keyboard. If this doesn't answer your question, then you'll have to be more clear and specific. :)

If you can't find the delete button, you could also put the cursor over the icon you wish to delete, use the right-hand mouse button, and then on the menu that appears, left click the option that says "delete." Either one or the other will work. If neither works, there's probably something wrong with the computer.
