I'll give you the background story; earlier on, I was listening to a favourite song of mine (can anyone say, 'Avrillavignesgirlfriend'?) and randomly was able to change the lyrics somewhat and apply it to TDN. And guess what? That's what we want you to do. Take any popular song and change the lyrics to turn it into a 'TDN Theme Song'. :) YouTube has thousands of music videos - so first off, find the song you want to emulate, get a video link (so we can compare with the original), and write us a new set of lyrics that have some mention of TDN, it's content, site, whatever. If you'd like, you can even record yourself singing it and upload either a .MP3 file, or send us a YouTube link of your disaster :) The only rules we have are: If you submit a YouTube video of yourself singing, you must be over 13 (and look it). You can submit it to me privately via PM if you wish. If you record yourself and play a background copy of the music, it needs to be just that - in the background. Note that not having a video or recording will not mark you down, but it does help us to see how good the song is. But, seriously, don't panic if you can't provide anything other than lyrics and original video. Don't give us any copy of the original music unless it's YouTube format; there's too many copyright laws hanging over it. This way, YouTube gets the blame. ;) The song can be anything, of any style. It must, however, have no profanity whatsoever in it. If you can provide a song that's mainstream (in the US, UK, Australia or appeared in shows like the Eurovision Song Contest) that's even better. You must, must, must include at LEAST 6 TDN references. Changing lyrics minimally is fine, but let's see a load of originality! There will be a prize for the top 3 that we select. Feel free to discuss minimally the contest itself; there'll be a topic in Media and Entertainment for you to come up with ideas.
