1 missing petpet

I am so confused right now.

 

I have all my neopoints, all my items, I have everything in my inventory, shop, SDB, and even my other petpets, but my ONE petpet is just gone. I zapped him early this morning with the petpet lab ray, haven't been back on since, but then I went to play Grave Danger again, and noticed he was missing from the options of petpets.

 

He was a pile of soot, originally I think he was a ghoti. I zap him with the lab ray for fun, he's a bit of throwaway pet because I'm trying to get Turmaculus to eat him. Turmaculus did not eat him yesterday and I do not have the avatar.

 

I'm so sure that I used him to try Turmaculus after zapping him, but maybe not. Can the lab ray get rid of pets? I am just... so... lost.

 

edit: So apparently the ray can make your pet disappear... guess I should have googled that first lol it's still weird because I'm so sure I used him for Turmy after zapping him! oh, well.

Aw that's such a bummer!! I don't zap my pets but that's a reason not to start, ugh!! I didn't realize they could disappear either :(
