Awesome_Paul
Okay I have a big interview tomorrow :P So anyone have any suggestions of what not to do/ what to do in interviews. Only thing i know is Don't Lie. In my last time: Interviewer: So Did you look at our website Me: Yes (well i didn't but said yes to make me look good) Interviewer: What did you learn from the website. At that point, i think i caused myself to fail. They try to determine if you lie and then twist it to make you get stuck :P
Superfly
I panicked when I had my TDN interview. I saved the file if you want to read it, :P to learn my my mistakes, or to look for any pointers, MSN/PM me if you do. Anyway -- don't answer is just 'yes' or 'no' expand upon your thinking! ;) That is just my advice, oh yea, don't shake their had to hard, but not to soft. :P
pyrochild
I've had a bunch of scholarship interviews in the past couple months and I learned a few things. 1) NEVER CHEW GUM (Its just a bad idea) 2) Dress professionally even if they tell you not to worry about it 3) take a resume and a list of everything youve ever done since 9th grade 4) sell yourself (its kinda like prostitution in a wierd not-related kinda way) 5) talk lots, tell them anything that might possibly pertain 6) honesty helps! I've probally forgotten a few, but this is a good start -Sarah
Ellie_Penguin
Also do some research about the company and yes honesty is the best thing you can do.
Dillon
1.)NO GUM Period 2.) Dress nice but not tooo nice. 3.)Don't act nervous. 4.)Be timely. 5.) Minimize the use of Likes and Ums. Thats all I have for now.
Eric
Along with what everybody's said before me... 1) Watch your mannerisms (ie, don't fidget!). 2) Remember they're watching you from the moment you walk in. Don't talk on the phone in reception, whistle, or anything of the sort. Just sit and wait. 3) Confidence is key, but don't fake it. If you're not confident, try 4. 4) Just be calm. I'd say be yourself, but if you're a nervous person, it's not the best idea. Best of luck. :)
Awesome_Paul
Cool, Im Back, Went to a 4 star hotel, only bad thing was, No interview :@ this wasn't for a job, well it was but a job/apprenticeship. It was 4 tests and then a group task to show teamshow, because the apprenticeship needs that (well all jobs do) I just gotta wait for 1 week, then i can get through to part 3 (ie The interview :P) But thanks for the suggestion anyway, i shall use these if i get through (also a note, for some reason, i don't chew gum, it takes me 5 minutes to get the falavour out then its tasteless :P)
