Own all items

Is it possible to own all the copies of one item? Like I like to have a couple items where I have a lot of them in my Security Deposit Box just in case I lose access to my account, I know that I have x number of ___ item and no one else would know that. But say I have 200 of one item.. Is it possible to own them all? Cause that would be cool.. But is it even possible to know how many items there are? Items become rare because of availability of those items.. But how do you determine if that item is running out of availability?

there are 2 petpets i can think of that exist in neopia where there is only 1 of each.. single one of a kind items.. and some bd equipment. so, anything is possible.

Really, only 2 petpets in all of existence and there is only one of each of them? What are they? That's kind of interesting if it is true!

 

Things retire so they stop making them and if they are single use items like a book or a stamp, then yes it is possible to own "all" of that/those item(s). But how you could verify that I would not know since 1) You could never ask every single neopian "do you own any of ____ and how many?" 2) If number 1 was somehow possible you'd run into the problem that someone could be on hiatus, just poofed and forgot about neopets bc they have a life or quit but left their account open, they could have one stashed and you'd never known because they wouldn't know to respond.

 

I'm not sure how frozen accounts would factor into this either because pets still exist in the database, they still come up in search but they say "the owner of this neopet has had their account frozen" or something like that, BUT you can't use the name. So I would assume using that line of thinking that the frozen user's items still exist until they've been purged. At that point you could say you own 98/100 active {insert item name} and that would be close enough for me.

 

I'm pretty sure if you can get into old admin accounts you'd find items you didn't know existed and they may have the bragging rights of owning the last of or the only one of those items. I have a few items in my SDB that I'd be interested in knowing how many of them there are. I've only seen one or two of them on the TP at any given time and they came from putting in item codes back in the day and those items are typically very rare; especially if they are single-use items.
