.Dan. Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I've just switched to Firefox, and one of the problems I've encountered is the bookmarks. I imported my collection from IE, but now everything that I'd perfectly sorted into order according to importance is now in alphabetical order. Is there any way I can get it back to the IE order, or will I have to manually adjust it all? Are there any additional add-ons I should download, or settings I should change?
Matt Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 First stop, here. While I only really use it for the ALP, I find that guides quite useful. Although times have changed since that guide was written. If any problems arise, feel free to make a topic about it in the "...things that go *bang*" forum ;) Perhaps some Firefox 'doods' could come help Dan out?
Mira Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Dillon, FF is better. =P Anyway, go to under bookmarks at the tab at the top of your screen, and click "organize bookmarks" and then switch them around to what you're trying to do.
Hannah Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Well the same thing happened to me. I opened FF and it started on the page you get when you first install it. Then my bookmarks are gone..and I can't add any pages to bookmarks. I uninstalled it twice and still the same thing :( So now Im using IE 7
.Dan. Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Well, my bookmarks are there, but I'm too lazy to switch everything, so I deleted most of the links and set up a multi-tabby thingy homepage, which saves me opening each manually. What's the shortcut for a new tab?
Superfly Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Well, my bookmarks are there, but I'm too lazy to switch everything, so I deleted most of the links and set up a multi-tabby thingy homepage, which saves me opening each manually. What's the shortcut for a new tab? The shortcut is "ctrl + t"
.Dan. Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Cheers. How can I sort my bookmarks into a specific order? I've tried using Bookmarks Manager, but it won't let me drag folders and links and sort them into an order...waah, I miss IE already.
Guest EBIL Cybunny Easter! Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Del.Icio.Us Bookmark Functionality! Use this add-on to categorize your bookmarks, add tags, etc. You can even access your bookmarks from any computer! Or just folder bookmark, like this:
