Petpet Park?

I'm basically wondering what exactly Petpet Park is, and what it entails. I don't really know if the TDN article on it is a whole lot of help. Can you earn NP from it, like Habitarium? How do you play it? Can anyone tell me if it's even fun or worth it?

I created an account a long time ago. As far as I can tell it's just a spin off from neopets. You cannot earn neopoints from it, the game has it's own currency. Other than that I am not much help, as soon as I realized it was its own site and not really related to neopets I gave up.

I also started an account once upon a time. While NP are not part of Petpet Park, NC is. You can use your NC at either Neopets or Petpet Park -- that is, for as long as NC stays the way it currently works. (No telling what new changes JumpStart will bring.)

 

While the Park is a spinoff of Neopets, it does not play like Neopets. Nor does it interact or cross-over in any way. The environment is more multiplayer online interaction. There are still lots of games, and in-house plots, but overall, I stopped playing because there seems to be more attention to paying players. A lot of inaccessible areas, games, and customizable items unless you're a paid subscriber.

First off, Petpet Park is not part of Neopets. It is a site of its very own. Neopets and Petpet Park just happen to support each other.

 

I used to have a Petpet Park account (Well, I still do, but I don't use it very often) and I think that the main difference is that you can actually see your Petpet walk around with its Petpetpet (If it has one). You can also see other players walk around too. :cool:

 

And the quests are very different too. In Neopets, you just have to fetch them item(s). Whereas in Petpet Park, you have to actaully take out your Mining Pick and mine out 13 Rubies, bring them back to Drewsila, she'll give you a Ancient Artifact which you bring to Professor so he can examine it, etc.

 

Another huge difference is the variety of pets. In Neopets, they have a huge selection to choose from. But in Petpet Park? They only have 5 Petpets (I think) to choose from. :ohno:

 

And there's the Battledome. Fight to get (possibly rare) items. Petpet Park doesn't have any of that. In fact, I don't think they can ever get sick! :shiftyeyes_anim: :weird:

 

Aaaaand, to top it off, Neopests has so much more things you can do. Basically, in Petpet Park you only have 2 options: Do quests and play games. I know, I know, you can buy stuff! But you're either doing it for a quest, using NC, or just wasting your money. Compared to that, Neopets has a lot more actions. You can read books to your pets, spin wheels, talk to your Petpetpet, play games, battle other Neopets, train them in Schools, etc.
