the-vast-derp
Okay, so I don't really have an allegience to any specific AC team because I've been absent the past few years and when I was a kid I didn't get involved in the Cup much. My favorite lands are Shenkuu, Lost Desert, Maraqua, and Dargian Citadel. Faerieland too sometimes, I do really like their colors. I'm just curious, how do you all think I should pick my team? Does winning the Cup give the winning team anything extra besides bragging rights?
dawnshine
I'm having the same problem. )'= I need help deciding. I was going to scroll through the little team bios TNT had put up, but I can't get to them now, it just says I have to pick a team. I am torn between Krawk Island, Faerieland, and Maraqua. I may be wrong because I've never participated, but I've been asking around a lot and your prizes and whatnot seem to be based 100% on your personal contributions to whatever team you chose. The difference in picking a winning or losing team seems to just be what trophies you receive. Someone please tell me off if I'm wrong. I've been asking around so much to find out and that's all the feedback I've gotten thus far. Saxen
the-vast-derp
Ah, alright, that is helpful! I'm thinking Shenkuu or Maraqua would be my main choices then...
Saxen
Step one: Look at your options againStep two: Realise that Maraqua is clearly the bestStep three: Pick themStep four: Be awesome because you're supporting the most epic team *nods* Spritzie and dawnshine
Katsuokai
I participated in two of the Cups, (VI and VIII) both with Moltara and this year I joined them again. I never were a really active player, just played a few games and that's it, but this year I'll see if I can make it to All-Star. ;) As far as I know and from what I've seen and read your rewards depend only on your personal contributions as Dawnshine stated. The only difference in joining a team that ends up winning is which your trophies you'll get. Choose your team depending on what part of Neopia you like the most. I chose Moltara because I like Steampunk, fire, their colours and all that stuff. :P If you're still in doubt about which team to join you could always check out some of the Altador Cup guides and/or check out The Daily Neopets team information. pixyperson
This is my first year with AC I picked Krawk Island because I like Krawks. I don't think that there is any particular statistics behind a "best team" because I think it's all based on user gameplay. I could be off on that, but I'm pretty sure it's just subjective. So my opinion is pick the colors you like that go with your pets. That way the freebies you get will compliment them.

Yes, it is based on user gameplay, but... ! some teams apparently got entire groups of users that use cheating programs to send in scores. D: It's awful, so I really hope TNT develop some anti-cheating measure to prevent this, but I doubt it. Of course, some teams got incredibly (legitimate) active players and even All-Star player groups to support them so it's not impossible for any team to bring the cup home. ;)
Azurablue
Okay, I admit it. I'm lousy at everything to do with the games. All of them. (Well, except the shootout. I can usually hit a near or perfect score on it about 95% of the time.) I don't follow it closely or even fully get all the sporting ins and outs of it. Some people are so into the details that you'd be way better off talking to them than to me. :nerd: Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let me tell you how I've chosen my team for 3 years running: I have 4 pets including a blue Jubjub and a blue Eyrie. Team Meridell has a blue Jubjub and a yellow Eyrie. No other team has as close a match. Obviously (at least to me), this is a sign that I must choose Team Meridell. Maybe this will work for you? Which team most mirrors your own pets? :) Most of all, have fun, whichever team you go with. :laughingsmiley:
