Set advice

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum, and not very familiar to the battledome, though I have been spending some time there trying to figure it out, what with the upcoming war and all :)

 

My stats are so sad! I wasn't around for the last war forever ago, and never realized that I should be training :guiltysmiley:

 

Level 40, HSD 73/77/74 and training frantically. I know I need to hit the 85 strength boost, but as soon as I break level 40 training will take an extra hour, so I'm desperately trying to get them all just below the point that I need to level, as fast as possible.

 

While my stats are really even, my battledome equipment is all over the place!

Lesser Healing Scroll

Downsize

scarab ring

Ramtors spellbook

Snowglobe staff

 

I also have in my SDB:

blue scorchstone,

Scuzzys comb

velms healing potion

and a variety of muffins and snowballs.

 

I am willing to sink most of my NP into weapons but my fear is that with th low stats, that even if I hit the 85 boost, that it would be pointless to sink everything into an expensive weapon or two, if I'm just going to get my butt kicked anyway :)

 

Any recommendations?

 

Also a really really stupid question but I need to ask before I paint my pet at the request of my daughter... baby pets can fight still, right? :yes:

So okay. So far, let me commend you on your current stats and set. You seem knowledgeable of boosts and I am pleased to see that you posted the most important things when asking for help - your pet's HSD, current equipped items, unequipped items in SDB and your budget. So thank you very much :D

 

First of all, your set and pet's stats are currently good. There are just going to be some minor adjustments here and there. I assume that your "Upgrade Set" budget is entirely different from your "Training Pet" budget. So let's begin.

 

Your constants are definitely good. They're actually superb. Ylanas Blaster + Bow of Destiny combo stacks earth, fire and air icons - thus making it very hard to block considering that currently no shield can block all three of them. I have a suggestions though that you might want to consider - sell your YBlaster (it sells now for 1.3-1.5 mil) to get a Dr. Sloth Personal Bath Buddy, which deals more icons (mass water, air, fire and a bit of dark. Great.) You add 1.4 more icons for around a few hundred thousand, which may or may not be worth it to you. It's definitely not needed, but it's something to consider.

 

Moving on to healer, I could suggest that you switch your healers - stop using Lesser Healing Scroll and put it in your SDB. Pull out your Blue Scorchstone as it heals more and it "overheals".

 

For freezer, you have two options to go here. You can either buy the highly inflated Randomly Firing Freeze Ray and sell your Snowglobe Staff , or you can sell your Staff and get the faerie ability Lens Flare which is comparable to a 100% freezer. The light faeries are highly inflated as well though. So take that into consideration.

 

For shields/dual-duties, consider getting the ever-awesome Parasol of Unfortunate Demise, Hanso Charisma Charm and Altadorian Swordbreaker. They're full blockers, so they're pretty nice :D You can also consider getting the amazing(ly inflated) Rusty Pitchfork.

 

Keep the Downsize! and I suggest everything else you sell. Except maybe your Velms Healing Potion. You might need it in the future.

 

So overall, this would be my suggested set for you.

Trying to sell my Ylanas blaster to upgrade to DSPBT. There are a lot of them on the TP right now, so this might have to wait until the war starts, maybe interest in it might pick up then. No DSPBT on TP right now so I am going to have to tower it.

 

My daughter is giving me a Rusty Pitchfork :) :) She owes me. LOL

 

I may skip the freezer since they seem really pricy right now and go with the lens flare. I need to look into that more and figure it out quickly. I would need to get my level up to 50. I guess it depends on how fast the war becomes intense. If it starts off slowly (I hope!) then I can hopefully get levelled up and hit my 85 boost on everything by the weekend..
