I did save it using irfanview so that I could back the background transparent, but I always save any ms paint stuff with it anyways, I just think its better at handling the file... I'm working on a Plusle and Minun (Pokemon) picture on Paint and it's looking great. Maybe I'll show it to you guys when I'm done.
