the editoral post someone posted upthread was very illuminating.. substituting all instances of the word Christmas (to, say, Holiday) seems very politically correct and rational - though I follow a lot of american political podcasts that have commented recently on the "war on Christmas" due to this very occurrence. Still, I like the fact that certain festive events are upheld because it makes things interesting around the site.

 

With that same reasoning, though I am agnostic/atheist, I would ABSOLUTLEY not mind if there were more events round the site that incorporate different cultural things that I may not know about, and therefore take it as an opportunity to learn (e.g. about the sacred cow, on which I am sadly ignorant). Much like the way they deal with St. Patricks, it would be very interesting, however, to see a Neopian take on appropriated aspects of real life.
