md97
How come only Canada and United States use Jeffrey and the rest of the english speaking countries use Geoffrey?
Zorse
I didn't know that... I don't know, just one of those things like color/colour I guess My donkey is named Jeffrey... when I named him I didn't even know Geoffrey wasn't common... I just chose Jeffrey because I like the spelling better
Guest ErikaChristine
Yeah, I guess it's just a cultural thing. But I'm from Canada and I know quite a few males named Geoffrey/Geoff. And it's also a generational thing, Geoff was a pretty popular name in the 80's and then dropped off in the 90's and beyond.
Nicole C
Here in Singapore, we use both Jeffrey and Geoffrey! But Geoffrey is way rarer.
lilshadowdweller
We use both here in Canada! My ex-boyfriends name was "Geoffrey", not "Jeffrey". And I know a few more "Geoff's", too. xD I can tell you for sure that Canada does use Geoff.
