Why can't I paint my petpet?

I have a pirate PP paint brush, and all 3 of my attached petpets (original not labbed) can be painted pirate, but only my harris is showing up?!

Make sure the petpet you want to paint has a name. For some reason, you can't paint or zap petpets that aren't named.

Ah thank you! I didn't think of that because it came up as 'no name harris'

 

I guess I must have accidentlly called him no name at some point ^^

Nah, when they aren't named, they all receive the title "no name". And it literally counts as "no name". You also can't zap petpets with the petpet Lab Ray if they aren't named.
