Gourmet Feeding dying pet?

So I figured I'd go ahead and try the feeding dying pet method, in which you can give the pet a food every 2 hours.

 

But I tend to forget to feed him every 2 hours, so end up only feeding him like 3 foods a day which isn't good.

 

So actually my question is, if I fed him 2 foods, how long would it take for him to go from Famished to Dying again?

Hunger Levels

Dying - Starving - Famished - Very Hungry - Hungry - Not Hungry - Fine - Satitated - Full Up - Very Full - Bloated - Very Bloated

 

That's the only information I could find on hunger levels :/

I think it would help if the food costed more or it is rarer.Do you have to feed him or her foods?

I feed him only gourmet food.

 

The quickest way to feed him as much gourmet food as possble is keeping him dying so you can feed him every to hours. Because from starving it only takes 2 hours before he goes to dying mode.
