Pen drive with identity crisis

Here's the problem. My mother has a pen drive she uses to prepare her classes. She is absolutely computer illiterate so she's never made a security copy of her documents (I know :sad01_anim:)

She uses it at home and at work, and a few days ago she brought it to me because it didn't work. She was working took it off the computer (safely) and it never worked again. I took a look, and the computer recognizes it as a CD Unit.

The problem es that that pendrive was a present from a pharmaceutic company and there's no way to know wich brand is it, so I can't find the drivers to install it again.

There's some way I could solve this?
