farvei Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I'd really like to expand my programming knowledge, and one of the languages I'd like to learn is ANSI Common Lisp. While internet tutorials are all well and good, a mentor would be nice to have. Would anyone be willing to give me a few pointers? Quote
Kongos Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Any reason you want to learn Lisp in particular? Not commonly used. Quote
farvei Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Because the code becoming part of the parse tree and being able to be edited by the code itself sounds like a really powerful feature and I'd like to give it a shot. Besides, what else do sixteen year olds have to do? Quote
Kongos Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Learn Python! :D It's a powerful object orientated language and its becoming one of the more commonly used languages.+ Quote
