xdarkcloudsx Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I'm using an ip address hotspot thing. It's called AnchorFree. If I log on to my regular neopets accounts with this ip address, will TNT give me any problems? I think it changes your ip each time/hides your ip. Quote
Noog Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I can't really give an official opinion, but I don't think that they would have a problem with a hidden IP. A changed IP every single time you log on though....might look suspicious. Quote
Anime Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Unless you're doing something suspicious, I don't think you'll have an issue. TNT knows that there are people who log in at lots of different places, and they know things like this exist. It's called a dynamic IP address, actually. And to be honest, they don't usually pay too much attention to everyone's individual IP address shenanigans unless there's something else going on with the account. Quote
lilshadowdweller Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Yeah, I doubt they have the time or resources to check in with everyone's individual accounts regardless. It's a huge site with millions of users. I myself have logged in with tons of different addresses. It has never caused/been an issue. Quote
Nataluna Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 i log in with dynamic IP all the time, what becomes suspicious is if the behavior follows a pattern, like 3 accounts log in one after the other on similar IPs, and if there is a suspicious behavior between the accounts (indicative of cheating). my home gateway is dynamic every time i turn it on (its generally always on now its holidays) but normally resets every time it reconnects to the network. i occassionally log in on public IPs like free wifi hotspots and educational institutions, but i generally avoid it, because those have static IPs, and the risk of being frozen is higher (lots of people log on there, once i used a computer and someone had forgotten to log off neopets o.0).
