Ethelune
Lately, I've been doing a bit of research on account purging, since the name I'd love for a new pet has been taken by someone who's been frozen... and, well, I wanted an idea of how long I'll have to wait to potentially get it. x_x While I was searching, I learned that pet pages are never wiped clean, even if the pet to whom they belong is deleted. Out of curiosity, I searched for my most beloved pet when I was little – an Island Zafara named Kikuii – and found that someone had remade a pet with that name several years after I went on hiatus. Though Kikuii is stuck as a green Xweetok, my original pet page remains untouched. I'm almost too embarrassed to post the link, but... really, I'm so amazed I can hardly think. That was made while I was in the sixth grade, and was my first attempt at HTML. Seeing the page as a junior in college, I can really appreciate how much I've improved, both as a web designer and a writer. :laughingsmiley: Has something like this ever happened to you folks? Find an old pet that's been recreated, or suffered the pain that comes from being hit in the face by a nostalgia brick? :P
Sweetdang
Unfortunately, the two or three accounts I made when younger, I forgot. :( And the emails, too. Sigh :/
Ethelune
When I was younger, I wouldn't be surprised if I made several dozen pets over the course of a few years. Back then, I wasn't the type to stick to one account; if I got bored (which didn't take long), I'd simply make a new account with new pets. Since she was one of the first Neopets I genuinely loved, Kikuii's name has managed to stay stuck in my mind. ^_^
