johnnxiv
If you stop Habitarium, How to keep it alive? I quit Habitarium for a week and all my building are destroyed, all the p3s are dead but I saw a guy put all his p3s in house and stop playing, his Habitarium still fine
Sweetdang
When you keep your P3s in the homes, they get cared for! The homes actually make them feel rested, full and healthy! So if you have to go away for a while, just stash them into your homes, and they'll be cared for. When you come back, you can take them out, and get the workers and soldiers to repair the buildings (the buildings do not escape damage!) or get a friend help with it, or buy one of those nifty hammers to remove the decaying from a structure. Your Habitarium will be exactly as you left it. :) For now, I'm sure the Doctor had given you new nestors, so make use of them, and get them to nest, and produce eggs! The more p3s you have, the easier the job in maintaining the buildings. :) Inaccurate, sadly :/ I didn't know they dies after 7 days! That's short actually... nailguard
if you stop play habi, the p3s will still die regardless of whether they are in houses or not. p3s have a max lifespan of aprox 7 days, so after the 7th day, p3s die whether they are in a building or not. P3s in houses cannot die from pests invasions or players raiding. Buildings also decay too, but they are generally easy to fix up If you happen to take a long break from habi, I suggest doing the following in preparation: 1) Store all the buildings to avoid decay 2) Hoard as many eggs as possible to make the restart process faster. When You come back, you can hatch the eggs to replaced the p3 pop that dissapeared. I think the guy's habi might have been maintained by their nfs repairing their buildings or perhaps, because they didnt log on, the game didnt visually update what happened to his habi. Maybe once he logs on, the buildings become tattered from the update.
Welcome Back Apathy
What nailguard said, plus... 1) If you have NC, you can buy an hourglass. Once you activate this hourglass, it keeps your Habitarium in the same condition. 2) If you don't have NC, I would recommend mass nesting. That is, get a bunch of nests (I have fifteen) and put your nesters on them. Harvest the eggs. Repeat. Repeat until you have enough eggs to repopulate your habitarium, should you leave it alone. Then, once you come back and find all your habitarium inhabitants gone, hatch your eggs. Don't do them all at the same time, or else they tend to die all at the same time. Hatch a third of them the first day, a third the second day, and a third the third day. This way, as soon as you see them start dying, you can put your nesters on the nests again and hatch the eggs that you want to hatch. Aronel
Karina, that is good advice about hatching the eggs by thirds. I hatched all of mine at the same time when I came back from vacation, now they all die at the same time! I try to keep a full stock of replacement eggs in my bag at all times. nailguard
I dont think the hourglass is available anymore :( . I cant seem to find it in the nc shop or anywhere. The timing of hatching eggs is an interesting idea, except it isnt necessary if you have a huge hoard of eggs to begin with :P

But since my computer is somewhat laggy, it saves me a lot of time to hatch them right there instead of harvesting. Also, looks like you're right--I can no longer find hourglasses! Too bad--it was a great idea.
binkygirl999
Then, once you come back and find all your habitarium inhabitants gone, hatch your eggs. The timing of hatching is a good tip, esp if your computer is laggy and hatching a lot of eggs at a time slows it down. OP don't worry too much about the state of your buildings when you return, especially if you have soldiers to repair them. You get XP for repairing buildings so getting them a bit damaged is a gain instead of a loss. And just keep enough eggs in store to replace all of your p3s should they all pop their clogs while you are away. While levelling up I found it better to just keep eggs that I needed and discard the rest for np (I would hoard them for a while, then do an inventory on them and remove the ones I didn't need), then at 50 I have around 7 or so pages, enough to replace 2x over I think, and have my nesters nest for xp. If you hoard the eggs, then after you have been away and return you have not only new p3s to work with, but an xp bump to help you level up. ab_02
if you left your habitarium unattended, in approximately two weeks of time, all your p3s will die no matter what you do
musicsquared
These are great ideas x) Sometimes I'm too busy to get online for days at a time...not long enough for ALL my P3s to die but it's a while in Habi time. I'm going to keep about a page of eggs harvested just in case I stay away longer and all my P3s do end up dying.
