Castle Escape lvl 7 Impossible??

Ok, so I'm playing Escape from Meridell Castle but every time I get to level 7, at the beginning of the level just after you kill the first dino and get the "?" box, then get past the spikey thing, there is a ledge with a super small gap that Valrigard just can't seem to fit through, no matter how much to try and get him through there?

Maybe its just me being really bad with my arrow keys but it's doing my head in :')
