Russ
Three hours ago I spun the Wheel of Monotony. It just stopped spinning and what delightful prize did I win? ....Nothing! I had deposited all the NP I had on hand into the bank while the wheel was spinning so it told me I didn't have enough to spin the wheel. I am irritated by this but also laughing at my own stupidity. inkt
Wow, that's quite unfortunate. I despise that wheel. So glad I never have to deal with it again. You know, there is a way to tell what you're going to get as soon as you spin it without having to wait the entire time, right? Edit: Or at least there used to be. Having trouble finding a guide on it now. Anyone know if this was deemed against the rules or something?
Syrin of Neopia
I'm sorry to hear that, Russ. I have yet to go after the Monotony avatar because of how much I hate that wheel . . . & inkt, what is the trick? I haven't heard of it & I'd love to know so I won't waste as much time spinning the wheel
Russ
You used to be able to find it by viewing the source code and somewhere it would say <prize>X</prize> with a number, and you could just tell what your prize was that way, but it doesn't show up in the source anymore. inkt
Well, it's been ages since I used it (only used it a few times to get the avatar) but I believe there was a certain url you could go to with a code or something, and then you would look in the code for a specific part that had a number. The number corresponded to a certain prize. There used to be quite a few guides on it but I can't find a single one anymore, so I'm starting to think TNT maybe fixed this or said it was against the rules. :/ Hahah. Was ninja'd. Izzasaur
I believe this gives the answer? Not sure if it works though. I tried it once, but I had pterodactyl so I didn't stick around to figure out if it was right. xD
Squidmama
I did that twice in a row today XD I dunno why it doesn't take the money out the moment you click the wheel to spin it!
Lydia Trebond
It will tell you what you get, but you've got to still wait for it to stop spinning to get it. I don't spin that wheel any more now that I (finally) got the avatar.
Vocaloid Marshmallow
I don't like that wheel. Its so annoying! It takes like such a long time to complete! And even if it does stop spinning I get such stupid things.
tempdisplay
Doesn't it take your NP beforehand? That's weird. Sorry though. I don't spin the wheel anymore, I have the Av xD
Squidmama
It really should take it before hand XD Do the other wheels take it before hand? I need to pay closer attention. I really love the wheel of monotony cause I can go take a nap or do something else and come back and have something cool. I wouldn't mind more long spinning wheels XD I'ma lame butt like that. Nika
I tend to get codestones so I like the wheel even though it's obnoxious. I have a question about it though: if you close the wheel mid-spin and come back later to spin it again (it lets you do this if you didn't make it all the way to the prize), will it have the same prize lined up for you as before? Sometimes I think "I can't close this, what if it's a paintbrush," but shouldn't you get the same prize when you respin? I can't tell because like you guys said, you can't see the prize before you get it anymore.
Yuika
Ugh, I always accidentally close it. Definitely the most irritating wheel ever since they got rid of the trick! ;-; It wasn't hurting anyone! Wheel of Extravagance is a close second, though.
