Lawl, I want a fairy for everything. I'm not even that big of a fan of fairies in the first place, but on Neopets they're just so cleverly used. I wish the lesser known faries would get the spot light. I'm totally drawing them now XD I'm glad you liked the idea. I wonder if they still look at suggestions?

 

Yeah, yeah, I'm on board with the converting Neopoints to Neocash.

 

How I would handle it is that a thousand neopoints would equal a single Neocash. That way, it would just be easier to buy neocash but if those who can't or refuse to spend real money they can just save up :3.

 

I'd fix the economy by adjusting the estimation price and of course with that conversion in effect many of the super rich ones would have something to do with it all :3 Also, I'd tax the multimilliares. The Tax Beast would be all like :v! FEED ME and take 2 percent a month.

Yah, but even I think 100,000 NP = 25 NC would be a good way :) However, I see what you mean. But, you still have to work for it :) After all, youd have to work hard IN-game if you want something for free that people have to pay for. If it was that easy, people using real money wouldn't have anything special. Realworld money wouldnt have any special value on Neo...

 

However, I still like TNTs current system. They occasionally give everyone free NC items, but all NC is nontrade. The whole idea is to prevent people using RW money from having an advantage in the game (and not having to work as hard as others)

There shouldn't be NC. At least it shouldn't be so unfair to people with no NC.

I don't like NC so I don't buy it. Or instead of taking away NC they should make NC items available in an owner's shop or available in trade.

 

There has to be at least one RE per day. Its just too boring with no REs. you just sit at the computer with Neopets open and do nothing because half the time there are no surprises!

 

And like Islines said in that huge post Lair of the Beast really needs something other than that prehistoric bird screaming at you. And TNT has to close accounts which are more than 3 years or may be even 2 years.

 

And I'm with Neoman. Decrease the chances of getting nothing from dailies.

 

This schockwave thing is really annoying! Does it have to be so old? They can really upgrade that.

 

And Lutari Island shouldn't be closed for such a long time! They have to do something with it!

 

Yeah, you should have an automatic refresh for the money tree so that you do get something.

Pirate PBs shouldn't cost 6 million! They should be available from very very very Random events at least (are they?).

 

They should have more adverts. There should be new games more often or there should be games which give 1000 NP easily or more games like fashion fever. More wheels like the Wheel of Excitement should exist, that is, wheels which give a lot of NP. The Wheel of Extravagance shouldn't be so costly! We pay 500 NP for the Wheel of Excitement and get 20,000 NP and we pay 100k NP and get 100001 NP! Isn't that stupid? But I'm only talking in the terms of NP. Has anyone landed on the PB sign. I wonder of those give PBs like Maractite.

 

There should be more pets available. And while creating a Neopet there should be basic colors like orange and black too. It shouldn't be there in just PBs.

 

There need to be more contests so that people without talent in games or writing can also take part.

 

They should make coming of plots more often. And plots shouldn't last for a very long time.

 

Keyquest token shouldn't suddenly disappear annoyingly. They should be available from shops for maybe a high price so that the values of the prizes you get from KQ doesn't decrease.

 

There should be boards for people less than thirteen and people thirteen and above.

 

Have you seen the Neocam? It says that they put pictures every 15 seconds but the last time they took a picture was in 2007!

 

And they should make theneopetsteam profile viewable!

 

They should have more wearable wings and wigs which can be bought through NP!

 

And may be there could be some kind of music each time you go to a different page on neopets.

 

Like the advent calendar there should be something for summer too other than AC.

 

TNT should provide some look ups too.

 

There should be another underwater place like Maraqua. There should also be more fun things to do in every place you visit. Shenkuu should have other things than just shops! It would be nice if there was something to do in Kiko Lake.

 

Petpets shouldn't be too costly like Meepits because if you use the petpet lab ray on them, they might turn into dust!

 

In the healing springs that faerie should be able to give more strength on rare occasions.

 

We should be able to get more Space Faerie quests.

 

The premium account thing shouldn't be there. Its like NC! It just makes it unfair for the people who don't have premium accounts.

 

When it rains or when its night they should show the changes. They should show the sun and and name it NeoSun or something. They should also show planets.

 

I'd take away annoying REs like turning pets invisible and making them baby and put more useful ones like getting NP.

 

I would have a token 'alerter' so that each time a person sends in a token I'd be able to see it immediately and reply soon and not take weeks and weeks.

 

I wouldn't make sad stories about Neopets like the Albert the Kacheek one. Its just sad. I mean, won't a kid feel sad when he reads about a little happy Kacheek turning into an ugly mutant Kacheek and being kept captive by an ugly thing named Esophagor which has no body?

 

There is an ugly blank spot between Krawk Island and Faerie Land. I would like to put some land there. I know it looks like that becasue KI has decreased in size but even then there was an ugly blank spot there.

 

I'd like to make nice things come out of that Vending Machine. I'd also like to make it possible to feed Kadaotaries without wasting a lot of NP.

Oddly enough, I've been thinking about this recently, without knowing this thread was here... XD The trouble is, we'd all do different things.

 

The main things I'd do would be:

 

- Shut the neoboards to the under-13s, like facebook. Stick a warning above each board saying 'may contain content only suitable for those over the age of 14' and let people say whatever they wanted, within reason. The boards don't have to be strictly regimented, like TNT seems to think - they just need to say, 'right guys, this is all on you now' and only intervene in serious cases.

 

- Send cease-and-desist letters to every single cheat website out there that sells NP, pets and items for real money. If they don't, take them to the cleaners in court. For one, it's infringing copyright, which means if TNT/Viacom don't defend it, they could lose their copyrights to the whole site. For another, Neopets, as the bizarrely crime-ridden website that it is, is being ruined by it. Most of what gets sold is illegit anyway, and only serves to further unbalance the economy.

 

-Massively, and I mean massively, update the site security and support. Cookie-grabbers are relatively simple to code, they shouldn't be able to get past the security as much as they do. Bring everything up to date with current security standards and you'll eliminate a lot of bother. Hire twice as many support techs as there are currently, not only will players be gratified with the faster responses, fewer problems will get through the security in the first place.

 

- Now, I don't think many people will like this that much, but: convert all the UCs. Yes, they look pretty (well, not to me, I don't like them) but they encourage the formation of class divides in the site, which is never good. Plus, the spiralling paint brush/MP/Draik egg costs are, I truly believe, because of UCs. When I started playing again about eight months ago, a basic Draik egg was 12m. Today, it's 15m. That is a massive increase, and yes, it's because Draik eggs are really rare, and only get rarer, since they're being taken out of the economy faster than TNT is putting them back in, but it's not because so many players like Draiks, or Krawks, or Plushies or Pirates. In my experience, for every PC'er who genuinely wants a Pirate Hissi, or a Royal Draik, to keep, there are at least ten more who want them because they believe it will allow them to trade for what they really want: an UC. UCs, particularly the handful of high-end, well-named ones that actually exist, are what people tend to keep. Everybody's seeking but less and less people are trading. So, as there gets to be fewer 'good' UCs about, the value of the pets that can be traded for them increases too, causing the rocketing prices. Some people have bandied about the idea of an 'unconverter' but in my opinion, this would never work. I think it would actually make things worse. The value of 'real' UCs would go down a little in the beginning, but as more and more people used it, the number of people thinking 'I don't want that one, I want a real one' would go up, pushing the value of those pets even higher. If it was a NP item, it would immediately become ridiculously highly priced, rendering it pretty much useless. Not everyone can get NC so that's not fair either. The only logical option is to mass-convert, which is exactly what TNT should have done when customisation was brought in.

 

- Despite that mini-essay, that's not actually my main idea. My main idea would be to have a little check-box during account creation, designating an account as either a main or a side. If it's a main, great! Come on in. If it's a side, then that's great too, but all the things that sides are not allowed to do (games, wheels, a shop, etc) are disabled and can't be accessed. In one fell swoop, the 'making NP on a side' freezing will never happen again. Plus, it totally streamlines the process, for users and staff, particularly if it's linked to some kind of portal that links all the accounts registered to one email together. Imagine, being in the pound, finding a pet you want to adopt and choosing there and then which account it goes on, via a drop-down or something. It would be awful to code, but I genuinely think it would work.

I want the classic Neopets layout back; not to mention the classic plushies (not the ones by Jakks Pacific). I still have my classic Halloween Aisha, Kadoatie and Desert Aisha plushies - I love them so much. :D It's just a pity that classic plushies are difficult to come by on eBay.

 

And I'd also get rid of the commercialized adverts at the top of the page. Neopets just isn't what it used to be.

I believe they are required by law to have the boards this way due to the website being, at least now, aimed at kids. Otherwise it would be nice to an extent but if you want to have conversations like that, they can be had on facebook or something :P

But alas, these websites aren't breaking any laws or copyrights. They aren't editing site codes or claiming that anything is theirs, they are simply creating programs that do things that real people do only faster and more efficiently, sometimes inhumanely :/ I can't see it being worth it to even sell legit nps anymore anyways. Last time I checked around, prices were at $10/mil (hehe, I coulda been a $2000-nare)... and that was only 2 years ago. When I just checked again, they are consistantly selling at around $2-2.50/mil... it's a lot of work getting neopoints and I cant see anyone wanting to sell them for that :P

Every site has exploits... EVERY site. Even government sites and the like. The site is very secure for a game site and it's only once in a long while that a short CGer pokes its way through. The minute someone blabs or tnt finds out where the exploit is, it is patched. That's the most they can do. They are definitely understaffed though in the support department.

I feel like it's a bit too late to convert them all now after people have traded their souls away for them. They should've converted them all in the begining and been done with it but now it wouldn't be fair. DEs and such shouldn't be 15mil, I feel like that's due to the habi exploit and they will quickly deflate :P UCs actually aren't that valuable anymore. Neither are draiks/krawks, value wise at least. There are the super high end ucs but most others have deflated a ton. Probably due to unregistered emails, there were many many many MANY ucs put back into the game from innactive accounts.
