No. It is because google and yahoo index this page. Since there is the massive amounts of posts being made, search engines need to catch up that is why they are online.

If they search tdn and use the cached page, they do not show up on here because the cached page is on google's site and not TDN.

So no. Search engines are here so they can capture this page and put it on their search engine.

That must be such a long process! I take it's done manually by a real person?

No, search engines use bots to map sites for reference keywords and such; most forums quite often have google or yahoo online occaisonally but as said earlier tdn has a lot of posts so the bots come here more regularly :)

If you look at the members list on tdn forums, you'll notice that neither google or yahoo are registered and also both show up a special colour on the names area; this is probably because Invision Power, this site host has recognised those bots and has preprogrammed information accross all of their forums for the bots.

//EDIT: Just checked, they show up as black and non-clickable here as opposed to a special colour :)

That was actually part of why I was confused, since they were just there. Not users/mods. Just there

Heh, just your average friendly, vaguely creepy, online stalker, stalking your posts, making them easier for others to find

These bots archive everything on TDN and TDN forums (except the moderator and admin cp of course since those bots do not have access to those)
