Alynniae
Hey guys:-) I want to ask you: are there many people outside of the TDN-forum who accept you're playing neopets. Most of the people around me say it's for baby's (just caught one playing it on a schoolcomputer, he did not like that(^_^)). How about you? How do people react when ou're telling them you're a neopets addict, or won't you tell them, like i do most of the time? For me, this is the place for neopets, outside, it's the place for family guy, the big bang theory, runescape etc... It's too bad many people think neopets is for baby's, because most of the people who are playing it really lik it... Bye

~Shoot Em All Peophin!~
I am 26 and i didnt be ashamed by the fact that i still playing neopets. My friend tried to laugh at me but its just stupid. She only said its for kids because it is cartoonish. I told her she might want to laugh to all spongebob fans. I feel i am with my second family here. Manta
I don't understand why people think there is an "age" for things there's no mysterious cut-off- date when things are no longer appropriate for you to enjoy I remember looking at one of my Lego boxes a long time ago, and it said "Ages 5-99." it made me laugh because there's no age for having fun, you know? A few weeks ago, i went to the mall, and participated in a lego building event. I'm 20 now. And to me, Legos are like Neopets. both are vehicles for fun. there's no age limit people are stupid, and you can either tell them to go look for the meaning of life and come back when they find it, or do what i do and just ignore reality  That said, all of my friends know i play neopets, and my brother (he's only a year younger than me) plays keyquest with me sometimes. if people aren't willing to accept that you play neopets, then make fun of them for watching american idol or whatever idiotic tv show they're watching. Green-Eyed Wonder
I don't usually even talk about it, but when the topic comes up they're just mildly shocked. They might tease me a little on it, but they haven't been really rude towards me about it. One of my friends actually goes on Neopets, but she isn't into it as much as I am. It reminds me of another one of my friends who plays pokemon a lot. A lot of people still like it, but some people might do just what you said and tell them it's baby stuff. Whenever it happens to her, she just sticks up for herself and tells them she can do what she wants, it's her business. Eh, there's always going to be something you do that people don't like. I hope this makes sense, I know it does in my mind! :P
rachiee
Besides my parents, I've never told anyone in real life that I play Neopets. Around my friends, I've tried to casually drop hints that I play (for example, putting a Neopets plushie clip on my tote bag) but I never found the time to tell them outright that I play. However, I want to find the appropriate time to tell them that I play Neopets (and explain what it is, because I don't think any of my friends have heard of Neopets) just to get it out of the way. Unfortunately, I'd probably expect some teasing from my friends because of that. If it did happen, I'd just shake it off and tell them it's a great escape from the real world and that there's no age where you have to start being serious about everything. ;)
Alynniae
You're all right, the whole "you're to old to do..."-thing is strange, but people, even the ones who are actually doing it, say it's true, that you can be too old for some things. It's like what I've said about the guy who always said it was stupid, and then I busted him playing it. It's just another thing to form groups, there the pokemon-geeks, there the runescape-freaks and there the neopets-babies, it's not fair. But there's one thing I'm sure about, I really like this group, so if they want to say: your another neopets-baby, then I'll say: "I'm glad I am, 'cause I've found some people who I like and who like the things I like. who are not liking me 'cause I'm popular or 'cause I'm scary and they don't want to get hit. I'm glad I've found this place, and I'm not going to let other people tell me if it's for babies or not :king:
