Petpage coding help

Since I'm a total n00b when it comes to coding, I was wondering if there's a way to put some code (like the code to a linkback button, which is what I'm trying to do) into a text box just as code, and not as the linked image if anyone gets what I'm saying. (I'm also pretty bad at wording my problems with coding :P)
