Petlookup Coding Help?

So I'm working on a petlookup design here:

To the right of the pet stats, I'd like to have a vertical navigation to all my other pets.

 

This is a screenshot of what my screen looks like when I click "Preview Lookup"

 

Why doesn't it look like that when I save the lookup and look at it live?

Where do the names appear when you save the lookup and look at it live? Do they just disappear completely or are they in a different spot?

 

Also, what coding did you use to put them as they are in the preview?

Ah, I decided not to use the navigation since it used up too many characters :P So I'm just gonna stick a cute image there instead :laughingsmiley:
