Name my Neopets

xLaura

Recommended Posts

I'm going to donate my current labrat (desert uni) to someone who wants it, and I need a new rat who will (hopefully) get zapped into a Lutari

and when that happens I want it to be a nice name

I tend to always name mine like xName and i want to try and stray away from that...but I'm not creative enough to think of anything

Some people around here have some interesting pet names, looking for ones liiiiike

Aitvara (owned by Spritzie)

Uvertira (owned by Flyingevee)

coincidentally these are both draiks

I kind of want a tribal feel to the name, like hawaiian or something of the like

HALP!!

I know that both Aitvara and Uvertira are real-world words in another language (Croatian, maybe?). You could try using an online translator to look for words in other languages, look at foreign language dictionary, or an online name database. When looking for a real name, but in another language, I usually use Behind The Name, because they have names organized by language of origin.

I second this. I absolutely love that site: it's helped me name all of my MMO characters, and sometimes I have used it for Neopets. Also, if the name is taken, you can try changing the vowels or consonants around so that the name still has the same feel to it.

Yay! I'm excited you mentioned Aitvara. I seriously spent about 6-7 hours going through a site to find names I liked. I started out searching mythological names. And I ended up at the site God Checker which lists names of gods and mythological things from tons of different cultures. I started with Egyptian, and ended up finding Aitvaras in Slavic. (Aitvaras are fiery flying serpents in Slavic mythology.)

The plural form was actually taken, but I was shocked to find Aitvara wasn't, and I knew that had to be her name.
