Grand Theft Ummagine Help Needed!

Please can someone tell me how to make sure the guard is right on the ummagine in Level 16?

When I move, he follows and I can't get him to stay there.

He doesn't actually have to be on the Ummagine, but as long as he's in line with it (as in if he moves up he should be on top of it) you should be fine. Just get to the lowest part that you can without him getting you, and then move down and quickly use the potion, grab the Ummagine, and flee.

Thanks! I had to refer to a video guide and still can't get it right. I can grab the ummagine but can't get away quick enough. He usually stays at the bottom of that section.

Right before you get the potion, wait when you're in line with the horizontal bit so he walks back as far as he can toward you. You'll know that you've done it if he's on top of the Ummagine as you're grabbing the potion. This ought to help.

I did it! Took a while to complete the game but it was worth it as I got the avatar!

congrats on your avvie! i heart GTU, although it takes a lot of time to play. [one of the reasons i like it so much is because there are no lives haha]

I'm so glad that it doesn't have lives. That's one thing that frustrates me about Faerie Caves II.
