Mira Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Well we have to also remember the man himself. He was a hero and fought for people all around the world. He made a great impact on the world and had his life taken for that. We must remember him and respect the things he's done. May he reast in peace forever. God bless that man.
Mira Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Yeah. But it's not just about the day off of school, but honoring the man himself.
lynnj Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 I know, I didnt mean it like that I am just glad we got a day off I ment!
ronnie... Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Well, lucky you. We had a whole History lesson devoted to him on that day because we don't celebrate MLK day. It was interesting, although I already knew all the stuff the teachers talked about.
webpixie Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 yea allot of companies dont give people the day off anymore i imagine allot of schools are the same, its becomign a day to just observe
Viper Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I didn't have the day off, but I got to go on a field trip with my anthropology class.
.Dan. Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Apparently a massive Ice-storm/blizzard freak weather thing disrupted parades and stuff commemorating this.
