Atlas of the Ancients item?

I just realized that I haven't completed the Altador plot on my new main yet, so i was going through the steps, when a window popped up and said (I have a screenie for proof if you want):

 

 

"Congratulations! You've received a prize for helping Roxton and his team! You certainly are an asset to the expedition! This prize has been added to your inventory."

 

 

I thought that the Atlas of the Ancients plot wasn't completable anymore...? Can we still get the prizes the plot gave out along the way?

 

If so, then yay!

You cannot still complete the plot still but there are a few of the random items that you can still receive if you never have. I know the stupid/useless orchid is one of those items.

Were you playing a game? You can still win the game prizes from getting a certain amount of points after playing one of the AOTA games. Ex. Clara on Thin Ice, Cave Glider, Cloud Raiders.

Was it the Mysterious Orchid? I received that by RE, while the plot was going on, and was able to get the avatar and site theme, without doing anything else.

 

But my husband received the Orchid after the plot closed, and it was too late.

It was the Wind Up Pocket Watch. I was in the Hall of Heroes working on the first step of the Altador plot and it just popped up. That's cool that you can still get some of the useless items. :)

I got the mysterious orchid and then the next time i went to the magma pool it was open at a time im SURE ive been to before..so i keep it solely because im sure it has some connection

you can still collect all the items that are related to that plot :)

i went to the guide and i collected around 5-7 items to help get my packrat avatar :)
