Games aren't working for me...

I was having scrolling issues when I used IE8. When I attempt to play games that require the arrow keys, my browser scrolled up and down and I couldn't see what was going on in the game. Since Hannah and the Kreludor Caves requires the arrow keys and I couldn't get it to play correctly in IE8 I decided to go ahead and download Firefox. (And to all of you helpful people who will say 'Just click inside the game and that fixes it!' I'm sorry, no it doesn't. Clicking inside the game and even clicking and holding inside the game doesn't work. The browser still scrolls.)

So I have downloaded Firefox and I also downloaded an ad blocking addon. But now I can't play any games. I disabled the add blocker and still no luck. I either get a gray box or a white box where the game should be. I also got the typical green box with the 'Your game will start after this advertisement' a few times. But no luck with playing games! Gah. I've beaten AAA on release day each day so far and I really don't want browser issues to stop me from beating him today. If anyone has suggestions for fixing IE or Firefox please let me know! Thanks!

Well the scrolling browser thing...I pulled it up in FF and it worked fine. The only things I can suggest are:

1. Click on the white space next to the game.

(could anything else be an active window that's 'stealing' your mouse's attention?)

2. Hit F11 for fullscreen?

As far as the game not loading at all,

1. Did you get the flash addon for Firefox?

(Just because you have flash for IE doesn't mean you have it for FF!)

?

Thanks for the suggestion Cornflakes. I'll have to check and see if I have the flash addon for FF.

However it seems that IE got jealous of me using FF! :whaa: I went back to attempt the game even with the scrolling issues and suddenly there were no scrolling issues! I didn't do anything at all. I exited out of IE, downloaded FF and messed around with that trying to get everything to work, then went back to IE and voila! It was working! Gah, weird computers. I wish I knew what I did so I could tell other people with the same issue. I did mess around with compatability view and caret browsing, also cleared the cache before giving up and moving to FF, but I would've thought that if it was fixed, it would've been effective immediately after reopening IE. :weird:

The only other thing I can think of: I changed full screen mode so that it doesn't show any toolbars. Press F11 for full screen. Press Alt-Spacebar to see the little menu. Press h to select autohide. That's the only other thing I changed before it started working.
