Iona Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Hi, it doesn't seem to mention anything about this in the Signatures guidelines sections so... My question is: Are animations allowed in signatures? Would I be able to put this one in, for example? Quote
Cornflakes Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I've had a couple of animated signatures. No one seemed to mind. Quote
Iona Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 Oh okay :D Thanks for responding. I might make one for my signature then :O Quote
Spritzie Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Animated is fine. The main things with signatures is not huge. All images in the signature need to fall under the stated amount. Quote
Iona Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 I see. Well that's fine then :D Thanks for clearing that up for me Spritzie. Quote
antiaircraft Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Just to add-on: our long-standing rule with signatures is basically common sense. They show up at the end of every single post you make, so they can't be too long or too glaring, otherwise they'll start to annoy people. Animations are allowed, as long as they don't give people a migraine in under five seconds or so (bad memories there x_x ). That's actually quite a soothing signature, so I'd very much encourage its use. :P Quote
Iona Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 Haha, yeah I thought it was quite soothing too :) Quote
Tank Girl Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 That's a really cool signature! How did you make it? I've been thinking about making one of my own but the only program I know how to use is paint :P Quote
Iona Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Oh, I made it in GIMP and played around with a wave effect. Quote
autotox Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 It is nice and soothing. I like it. I really need to learn to make graphics. Quote
