Meeptroid Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Splash sighed. "It's gotta be a serious storm. My owner and his family had to evacuate."
The Original Luna Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Dagmar eyed the bird "For your information, I am feral and I belong to no human. I take no heed of the humans and their... ways. I am of the old order of the wild and free beast. Yet I choose to live near man, not to learn of them, but to acknowledge the humans."
The Nova ROX Posted January 25, 2007 Author Posted January 25, 2007 "Do you think I don't know that! My owner had to leave as well! I just don't know why I couldn't go! If you have any place better to go, show us before the rain comes!" Socks shouted over the storm.
Meeptroid Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Splash tried to settle down and sleep again. The storm had gotten worse. He moved around restlessly. "I hope this storm settles soon..." he mumbled.
The Original Luna Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Dagmar decided not to reply, but to remain quiet, hoping that the storm would eventually pass, it being near dusk and the weather not letting up.
The Nova ROX Posted January 26, 2007 Author Posted January 26, 2007 "Where do we go?" Socks was furious and afraid. How do we escape the storm?! The people have left and the wild animals aren't helping much...
Empress Keiko Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 "We run. Plain and simple. There is a safehouse for humans a few miles away. If we can get there, they would have to take us in. And by the time the storm reaches us, it'll be weaker."
Meeptroid Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Splash looked up when he heard what Astarri said. "She's right. We need to do something if we're planning to survive." he said as he stuck his head out of the burrow. "The ground is pretty muddy and damp. We better get going..."
The Nova ROX Posted January 29, 2007 Author Posted January 29, 2007 "As long as I live to see tomorrow, I'm good." Socks replied and quickly herded everyone out of the burrow.
The Original Luna Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Dagmar followed behind the group, not away from it, but neither close to it. She had decided that it would be wise to move with them, Safety in numbers, but it was too calm for a storm. Couldn't they be walking into the 'eye'?
The Nova ROX Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 Socks also noticed the change in climate. What?
The Original Luna Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Suddenly a strong gust of wind blew Dagmar to her paws. "Get down, We're in the Eye!" she yowled, as the wind whipped up leaves which whipped her in the face.
The Nova ROX Posted February 2, 2007 Author Posted February 2, 2007 Socks fell flat on the ground. How do we get there now!!?!?!??
The Original Luna Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 The wind howled, trees groaned and "Keep low, and head towards the bushes ahead." Dagmar called. "Then make towards that huge oak, The base isn't far from there, We can shelter near it."
Empress Keiko Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Astarri felt pressure against her wings. "Ow, my wings feel like they're being crushed!" Astarri thought of another plan of action. As long a I live, I'm fine.
The Original Luna Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 The pets stayed close to the ground, lest the wind would blow them away from the shelter.
Meeptroid Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Splash scurried across the damp and muddy ground while forcing himself against the wind. A few twigs were freely pulled from nearby trees by the wind and they scratched along Splash's body. He dug his claws into the ground as he grunted and thumped his tail.
The Nova ROX Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 Socks got to the oak an dug his claws in against the wind.
Meeptroid Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 The winds was strong and dangerous. A shout came from Splash as a large stick slammed against his side. "Erg... this is really... ugh... painful and dangerous. I really hope this passes over... eh... soon!"
The Original Luna Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Dagmar decided to move ahead to scent out the people. People always have a distinct smell Dagmar saw the metal shelter and smelt the pungent (in her opinion) smell of humans. Running back, she went to tell them of her fortune.
The Nova ROX Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 Socks came running to help Splash get the branch off. "I'm to small. Someone bigger needs to push this off. Dagmar! Help!"
Meeptroid Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Splash swatted his tail at the branch. "Wow... this is... ow..." Splash's voice sounded weak and tired. He jerked his head several times in frustration.
The Nova ROX Posted March 3, 2007 Author Posted March 3, 2007 Socks tried again and failed. The only one who could get the branch off was Dagmar.
The Original Luna Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Dagmar returned, to find the pets in total disarray. "Of all the times when somebody needs me, it has to be the time when someone's trapped under a stick." she smiled, Bending down she said, "Don't move. I might miss if you do." Picking up the stick with her eye-teeth, she loosed the lizard and as she spat the stick out, she heard a branch crack above them. "LOOK OUT!!" She screamed.
The Nova ROX Posted March 10, 2007 Author Posted March 10, 2007 Socks dragged the struggling Splash out of the way, "Phew!"
