Debate Forum Updates

Ian

Recommended Posts

Hello,

For those of you who don't know, Chipmonker is the new debate forum moderator. He will specifically be moderating the debate forum and making sure that things do not get out of hand like they have in the past.

A new post count rule has also been enforced in the debate forum. In order to gain access to the debate forum, you must have 200 posts. This will eliminate all newbies from accessing the debate forum. For those of you who have 200 posts but cannot see the debate forum, please post once and the system will be updated and will permit you to the debate forum.

If you happen to break any of the debate forum guidelines specifically in the debate forum, you will be banned from the entire forum temporarily for 7 days.

Thanks

Ian

He's just like Eric and Matt were before they gained their two positions (Content and Mod respectively), in that he moderates just that forum, and has no other benefits.

So it's no conspiracy. xD

No. :P He has his own line. Seriously, it is NO conspiracy.

We will not be hiring more moderators until we see they're necessary. And, it's the only post we don't accept applications for; we'll approach people who might be interested, and we feel are good for the job.

does that mean there will be more one forum mods

Little confused by this. The way the forums are organised by the software package is that what we call moderators are called Global Moderators. These are our moderators that run the whole forums, specifically. 'Forum Moderators' is what the software calls people like Chipmonker, who only run one forum or so. These won't have powers in any of the forums that they don't run. :)

Chipmonker is only on his own lil' line and not with a block of text because he's just helping the site, not as official staff or anything. He's helping the site, running the debate forums.
