Dojorkan
I tend to misjudge items when restocking, I end up paying a bunch of NP for a item only to find out that it sells for lower. Just now I spent 33K on a Hegelob which goes for 25K on the Shop Wiz. (anyone want to buy it off of me for 33K? :P) Yesterday, I did the same spending 9,999 NP on Garfir which goes for 9K. Other than that, back in 2003/2004 I used to be a regular on the Fan Clubs board. Neopets starting getting big around that time and more "n00bs" started to come eventually people started leaving, so I created a ProBoards forum for us to "migrate" too and started letting all other regulars know about it. Then my first account got frozen because NPT assumed it was a site that asks for a password.
Avaldo
I wanted to start over, so I froze my account. I 'thought' I had sent all of my neopoints/items over, but apparently I didn't. I lost 5 million. :sad02:
Cornflakes
:( that's a shame. I've got an old account with loooads of stuff on it. I tried to access it a little while ago but hotmail had deactivated the e-mail I was using so it was pretty much impossible to get the account back. Neopets weren't the biggest help in the world either. I recreated the exact same e-mail but they wouldn't send me my info again. I bought a Robo Acara to get the 'Robo' avatar then realised I didn't have a classic neohome anymore so it was a waste of money. If anyone wants it it's still in my trades, taunting me  You can still create a classic neohome! Don't trade it yet! :) http://www.neopets.com/neohome.phtml
Guest kxjenn
My biggest mistake was not sticking to my oldest account. ): 2nd mistake was choosing my username.
mystical
Mine would probably be buying a Faerie PB at the TP for 3.3M just a week after TFR prizes were released. I regret wasting the 2M :|
emeraldmartini
My biggest mistakes would be my extended hiatuses. I've come and gone over the years and have missed out on a few plots (Cyodrakes Gaze, Return of Sloth, Tale of Woe) and therefore missed out on corresponding avatars and site themes :sad02: My other mistake would be losing my account info for my original account from 2000. I had not many, but some items that are now pretty rare, not to mention, the unimportant but nice prestige of having an account that old. I don't think I had earned any avatars on it or anything though - I didn't do plots and such. I just played games (when the games cupboard looked like a shelf of games, lol). But I am long over that disappointment. Even if it hadn't been purged and I was able to access that account, I wouldn't make it my main. My main (well, only) account, which replaced that old one, I created in 2002 and I have retired avs and site themes, so I'm happy enough. selusa
The biggest mistake I can remember making (recently, anyway) was trading a Starry Bori MP for an item that was TP priced as worth at least a million, but actually only about 20k on the Wiz. I only checked the TP and the person offering was rushing me by withdrawing and bidding again and saying there was another buyer (pff). Lesson learned: if the deal is too good to be true, IT IS, FOOL.
MoonTide
My biggest mistake I would say for me is not sticking around long enough to realize their is actually something more beyond the first week of playing neopets, other words I didn't know there was special items, or plots until it was to late for the old ones. Yes I have learned my lesson, I'm definitely sticking around for awhile.
Seilan
Getting my main frozen about 6 years ago....Sigh....Huneybunches7 you will be missed forever. I had avatars on there I'll never get now. AKA meerca chase
Spritzie
I've never sold any items too cheaply, or bought something for too much. Like a lot mentioned, my biggest mistake was for my first 7.5 years on Neopets, I minded my own business. I played games, talked with friends, read the news page occasionally. I never joined in on site events, so I missed out on a lot of plots/site themes/avatars. (I started playing in 2002.)
Ellytoad
My biggest mistake was taking a break from Neopets and ending up missing that year's Daily Dare. *grrr*
MissKatieJ
Not participating in the plots. I coulda gotten a lot of stuff if I had one them.
ThisIsJ
Like a lot of other people on here mentioned...my biggest mistake was definitely losing my original account. I made it in September of 2001 and used it up through late 2007. Took a break, and once I came back I couldn't get back into it..and I definitely don't have access to that email anymore. Trophies...avatars..items..several million NPs..all gone. Lesson learned though...if I ever decide to take another break, I'll be making sure I know I'll be able to get back into the account. Starting over again isn't very appealing.
Jase
for me too its not participating in plots, and being forced to take breaks/missing days when theres a new daily around which you get prizes for - usually its the advent calendar on xmas day when i'm not actually near a computer, I usually miss a whole week of the neopies voting too, and I'll most likely end up missing one or two of these new faerie quest prize things as well. but hey, this is my only account, and it's a lot older than some tagged on here. Rebeka
1. Not participating in plots. I thought they were stories .. (I'm not a native English speaker) 2. I had few petpetpets and I didn't knew what they were so I donated them (about 500k all together) 3. I bought starry paint brush plushie for 100k because I was so excited I didn't see the PLUSHIE part! 4. Trading 4 striped pb + 2 medicinal soaps for 2 Captain of the guard stamps. First they were worth 450k, and then I didn't sold them for more than 75k. STupid -.- 5. My user name. LAME. I'm learning the hard way .. SlightlyCautious
1. going on a super long hiatus (like 2 or 3 years. Lucky it didn't get purged). I wish I had at least collected daily interest... when I came back, I was getting 3k daily 2. Selling a unbuyable (like 120k) for 2 falsely inflated TGC cards (went from 70k to 15k in like 5 days) 3. my username. 4. When I came back from hiatus, I didn't really know about switching mains, and stamp collecting was new. I got excited about them and started collecting right away. I had about 300k in stamps in my album, and was like "well, that's so much money, so I guess I'll just stay with this account" ... now I have like 400+ stamps. I'll probably regret it again when I get to like 600. :O
Atta
I took a break from Neopets for a few weeks, and I forgot my pin number.... and because I'm under thirteen there isn't an email address attached to my account. So, I can't retrieve it. :O Now all my NP is stuck in the bank, and I can't get anything out of my Safety deposit box. But hey, I don't really mind :) I can still play games and all. Oh, and once when I was still kind of new, I spent 300k on a Baby paint brush Plushie -_- I thought it would paint my pet. And it didn't... itsirtou
Gosh. 1) I went on a 7+ year hiatus. I missed out on so much -- I left Neopets in middle/high school (can't remember) and didn't come back til my first year of grad school. 2) The reason I went on hiatus is because I was 13 and stupid, and I gave my account password to someone who had promised me to give me a bunch of neopoints. They raided my account and took my faerie Cybunny. It broke my heart, so I quit. 3) My silly, anime-related names for my first two Neopets (mayumi_chan and schu_schu_), as well as my silly, anime-related username (capella_no_da). I'd never adopt out or trade those pets anyway, but I kinda wish that at 13 I would have named them something better. Oh well, such is life. ^_^
August of Lake
Two of them. One, in the return of Dr. Sloth plot, I gave up when the whole code problems started up with the solvers and people were getting frozen, instead of keeping on, because I was actually doing fairly well on my own. Two, my lab pet turned into a Chomby, which I wasn't too fond of, so kept zapping....and he changed less then two days before Chomby day where the Halloween and Darigan Chombies came out, which I both love and want. Then again, he ended up as a Desert Lutari, and so I'm just going to try and adopt a Chomby on their day. Or get a new Lab pet and zap, whichever comes first. xLaura
today i almost clicked "donate" instead of like "put into shop" or "put into sdb" (can't remember which one) on something where i couldn't check its worth (was doing a quest, no shop wizard)..turns out it was useless, but i hope i NEVER make that mistake

Tristessa
Trading an expensive background for a faerie pb.. right before it was awarded as a plot prize. I also lost my meowclops in a TP glitch years ago, I was lending it out for the avie. I didn't visit the boards back then, if I had I would have known about the glitch.
