antiaircraft
Hello friend! I'm afraid you're going to have to be slightly more specific than that. ;) At what stage of the startup does the computer beep? Is there any error message displayed? What operating system and type of computer are you running? This topic has been edited by a member of staff ("AA"). The topic was posted in the wrong area. the.martian
I have had a similar problem, though from your information I can't say what exactly the problem is. What I did with mine was to clean the RAM. If you're not familiar with the internal parts of your computer, ask for a technician's help. riopk217
A single beep suggests that it is passing a POST check. If there are repeated beeps or a pattern of beeps, this is called a fail code and would suggest that your computer is failing at the very lowest level. For more information about these, Google for 'beep codes'. Assuming that you are getting just the single beep, what happens after that? Is your monitor switched on and connected properly? Do you get anything on screen? Does the computer turn itself off or infinitely restart? (these are usually heat issues)
