Serenity
I have literally exhausted all the possibilities in the water plant puzzle. Several times. I have notoriously bad luck, so right from the start I opted to go through the possible combinations systematically instead of just fiddling around. I used the list of combinations given in the tdn Altador guide, and the only change I made was to reorder them into an order that made more sense to me(I put all the first switch on combos together and all the first switch off combos together). And actually, put in that order, entering all of the combos didn't really take that long. But when I entered them, I got nothing. So I got a piece of paper and entered them again, checking them off as I went. Still nothing. So I did it again, again checking them off. Still nothing. I am stumped. I have checked and re-checked my list, and there really are no other combinations. I can't use the 'make tabs and refresh' method, because I live in a college dorm and our interenet locks you out if you make more than 100 connections in a minute in an effort to stop torrenters. Is there any way the combination can change as you're entering them? Should I be exiting and re-entering the plant between combos? Is there any way I can actually complete this puzzle? Have I missed something glaringly obvious, or is my version of the puzzle just broken?
whattawiseguy
I went through every combination three times (took SO LONG D:) with no luck when I was doing the plot... so I have no idea if it's random or what..but I went on the forums here and found this: http://www.tdnforums.com/index.php?/topic/11992-easy-way-to-get-past-the-water-plant/ I clicked the links on there and refreshed a few times and BAM! Got it :) It's a miracle lol. Good luck<
Serenity
I would, but my dorm internet blocks you out if you make more than 100 connections in a minute, and I don't want to risk going through all the trouble with the tech desk to fix it if it does. :/ So, should I just fiddle with the switches then? Is there any other way that doesn't require mass-refreshing?
whattawiseguy
Well when I clicked the links I only had to refresh each one once so it wasn't too bad :)
antiaircraft
Yes, trying that method would likely be okay if you limited yourself to about one refresh every five seconds. :)
