It's unbelievable that people actually pound painted pets, you don't pay and then just delete it?!

But i'm glad I found a neopet that's painted and I like the name so...

Congrats on the find! Did the christmas lupe come with any christmas paint brush clothing? I've heard of people just zapping pets to gain paintbrush clothing and then pounding extra pets.

There are plenty of painted pets in the pound, especially Christmas ones, if you look hard enough. That is because there are many people, myself included, who have the lab ray and are not zapping their own pets, so they would pick up abandoned pets from the pound, paint it, zap it, train it, or do whatever to it so that it is more adoptable, and the put it back in the pound out of hope that someone will pick it up.

 

In case you were not aware, there are some pets that, when placed in the pound, never show up on searches. Here's a website with a listing of many of them: http://lost.quiggle.org/. There are usually some painted ones in there, especially Christmas, like I said. There are also LE pets, if you are into those.

*points to annie* yup. Lots of people use their lab map to help those in the pound find a great home myself included. As for the poll. I've seen a cloud ruki and a christmas jub jub.

I saw a cloud wocky in the pound before. Looks pretty but was too slow to catch it.

I usually do what Annie said. If the pet is a really cool color or has clothes, I put it up in my friend's adoption agency, so that I can do a transfer and it can keep its clothes. If you are looking for more painted pets, definitely check out the pound board; easiest way to get a dream pet without paying any neopoints (unless your dream pet is painted one of the colors that isn't offered by the lab).

Aw that site you linked, Annie, made me so sad! So much abandonment and lack-of-love! I wanted to make like a million sides and adopt them all and then...well, completely neglect them, but still! I actually posted one of my pets up there before, a Fiery Pteri, because its name made it so that it didn't show up in the pound. It found a really good owner :). I neomailed her to tell her that I was glad she picked it up, and not some irresponsible person. I think I might have come off as a little creepy :whistle:

I caught an Invisible Kougra in the pound the other day. My account is under 4 months so my chance of finding decent painted pets is rare. His name is Dyhmm. I was so thrilled, it made my week (:

Color of the pet has nothing to do with the adoption fees, as far as I know. I believe it's only affected by the pets' stats.

Heres a cool story- one time a saw a snow tonu in the pound! I adopted her. Her name is W_a_n_d_e_r_e_r I gave her away for a silver eyrie though

 

Also, once like 5 years ago when I was on neopets, I was at the pound rapidly flipping through the pages. So rapidly that I got a quick glance at an island uni and missed my chance getting it. Oh well, atleast it probably found a good home.

When I used to get a good zapped color, but didn't particularly like it, I would usually put the pet in the pound to make some lucky passerbyer pretty happy. :) Christmas pets seem to make up the majority of pound colors that I've seen.

I decided to do a bit of pound surfing tonight as I've only had two neopets for as long as I can remember. I lucked out and got a camoflouge zafara - I think he's cute!
