Adelais
So I'm in my american literature lecture, and we had to read this "story" (I use quotes because as far as I can tell it was just a mish-mash of words and references) called Entropy by Thomas Pynchon, written in the 60's. And so far, instead of explaining this crazy no-sense nonsense mishmash, the professor is teaching us about what entropy means in terms of thermodynamics and information systems AKA Science and Math - mine mortal enemies. Ok - not true, I actually quite like some sciences (my major is physical anthropology), but definitely not math, and not math-heavy sciences. But regardless, I wish he could quit speaking in tongues and just explain this story! has anyone ever read it? I thought it was awful, but honestly I just didnt understand it and how could I like something I dont understand? Sigh... I suppose if I were paying attention to the professor I would understand..ok, I'll attempt to pay attention now.
Rae
Wow. I don't even know how to react to that LOL. I would NOT like that at all. I am absolutely horrid at maths and sciences. And I especially hate reading "stories" about them!
Cornflakes
Oh mah goodness. Does that sound boring. LOL Too bad you don't have my calc prof. He would enthusiastically explain it to you in clear layman's terms. He is awesome. I will miss him next semester.
jubinator
When life gives you thermodynamics instead of literary analysis, take it! I totally want your teacher for the literature class I'm eventually going to have to take.
