I love my Tablet.

Before I got it my Drawings were absolutele Horrid.

I've been trying to design My Gelert, One of my friends told me to try and make a Reference sheet thing.

I'm not very sure what I need on it, But so far I have a picture of him from the side. :)

I was wondering if anyone here knew what I'd need on a Reference sheet?

I'm really not sure...

I can't really draw His Face from the Front. <_<

I've been trying so hard and I just can't get it right at all.

I've been wanting to enter one of my pets into the Beauty contest for a while, but I have no idea how it works?

Someone told me it was about Advertising, But because I can't go on the boards I'm not sure if I should even bother.

Don't stress over it. Drawing something perfect the first time, or even the first few times is impossible. You just gotta keep practicing. You'll get it right eventually. :)

A big part of winning the beauty contest is advertising, but you should still enter if you want. You can advertise on the forums! There's a lot of people on this site. I'm sure a lot of them would vote for you.

Bravo! I would personally advise any aspiring artist to purchase a tablet as well - it's a wonderful thing if you are really serious about art.

As for the reference sheet, there are plenty of things to put on it for your own, and possibly others reference to your gelert. Here's just some things I'd suggest:

- A detailed full frontal/profile view of your gelert.

-A color swatch; just the basic colors/shading you would use, as well as any undertones, etc.

- Make sure to point out any specific markings!

- Possibly what your gelert looks like with different expressions.

- A short, simple description of your pet. Name, color, gender, age, species, height and weight (if desired).

The more detailed a reference, the better all of your following pictures of that character will become. If you want any references to look at or 'reference'(lol) so to speak, there are many on DA easily available. Here's one I did of my character Alice - who's not a neopet - but it still serves as a very basic reference: Alice Ref. Good luck and keep on drawing! :)

I think I might give up on making a Reference sheet for Me_e :sad01_anim:

I can't draw dogs, and no matter how hard I try it doesn't come out like I want it to.

I want to pick a Style of art, and stick to it!

But. It's hard for me to find a style I like...

:laughingsmiley:

I'm just going to draw a whole load of pictures, in different styles, and see which one I feel more comfortable with.

Oink-Oink! (Or whatever noise Moehog's make.)

It's my Moehog Pollyatta.

Kind of tried to do one of those cute little chibi things with a HUGE head.

I failed, Of course.

The pose Was referenced of a picture of Hello Kitty that's on my Pencil Case?
