tempdisplay
Yay, I'm done with the article! Aleonare is interviewing the Red Lenny is charge of Save the Wheels! That's a story and an article done regarding the event xD Hope you enjoy this one. There's a question for you guys about the article. I'm wondering if I should add an extra part or not. If I don;t add it, the article will end in a cliffhanger that might be confusing. If I do add it, the article will end more fully (iThink) but still confusing :laughingsmiley: Enjoy! Hello there, heroes! You’re probably wondering why I calledyou that. This is Aleonare the Blue Nimmo reporting live from in front of theNeopian Conservation Society’s office because you guys have helped Save theWheels! You are heroes. Today I’ll be interviewing the Red Lenny who was incharge of this campaign aiming to find out: why the Wheels needed saving; howthey’re getting along now; and if another campaign like this one will come topass. Let’s go into the building. Me: Good morningkind sir, and thank you ever so much for agreeing to this interview. Red Lenny: It’smy pleasure. Me: That was areal smile so you truly are happy with this interview. So Mr, erm, sorry whatname do you go by? Red Lenny: Ah,well my friends call me Renny, you could call me that. Me: Oh right, thank you Renny for accepting this interview. My first question is basicallywhat everyone thought when they first saw that Save the Wheels banner. Toquote, even though the campaign is over now, “What is this all about?” Renny: Of course. The 5 Wheels of Neopia ran dry. There wasn’t enough Neopoints to continuerunning them and they were beginning to grow old and stale. They needed arevamp. Me: And why wasthis? Why did they run dry? Renny: Can I askyou one question? Me: Yes, sure. Renny: When didthis campaign start, right after what? Me: Hmm, I was inMaraqua then came back home to see the banner... it happened right after theAltador Cup! Renny: That’sright. Neopians were so preoccupied with the Altador Cup more than ever thisyear. No one bothered to visit the Wheels for a spin meaning no Neopoints werebeing put into their fund. After the Altador Cup, Neopians went back tospinning the Wheels. The Wheels give big prizes, so since they didn’t have muchin their fund, they couldn’t give out the prizes. So they basically went bustand had to be shut, one by one. Me: Why were theyshut one by one, and not all together? Renny: One lessWheel to take care of really does help. It meant whatever we had could be usedto support the other Wheels while the one could receive donations which wewould use to fix it up. Next we’d close the next Wheel, using what we had leftfrom the previous donations to start work on that. This speeded things up. Me: I see. Neopiacollectively raised over 10,000,000 Neopionts! Give yourselves a hand. That’samazing. In return, our Wheels got face-lifts. Why did the Wheels need to berefurbished? That cost Neopoints that could have just been put into the Wheels’fund and make the whole campaign take less time. Renny: The wholeof Neopia’s changing. Haven’t you noticed? Things need to move on, people needto move on. We can’t keep lingering in the past. To fit in with the rest of itssurroundings, the Wheels needed to be revamped you see. After the success ofthe Wheel of Knowledge, we knew that all the generous Neopians out there willsupport us with the other Wheels, so we went for it. Me: Did you haveto make spins cost more? Renny: The Wheelof Knowledge costs less. Me: Let mere-phrase that, did you have to make the Wheels bar the Wheel of Knowledge cost more? Renny: They giveout bigger prizes now. Me: Yes, but theycost more. We didn’t ask for bigger prizes. Renny: If we’regiving a revamp, it’s not just the look that’ll change; the features will haveto change as well. By making the Wheels cost more, the funds won’t run dry. Me: You just saidthey give out bigger prizes. How will they not run dry then? Renny: Theprobability that those who spin the Wheels get the top prizes is slim. Me: What ifeveryone – don’t give me that look. Renny: I’m sorry isthis an interview or condemnation? You’re not being very professional. Me: Coming fromthe guy with no experience – what? Don’t go, I’ll, I’ll stop now. Renny: Fine, you’llbe editing out that part right? Me: Yes, we onlyadd the important bits. Back to the questions, this one regards you: Why wereyou put in charge of the Save the Wheels campaign? There are others in the Neopian Conservation Society, what made you sodifferent. Renny: It turnsout that the society had plans for the Wheels to be revamped long before thecampaign started. This is why I was put in charge, as I’m the creative directoraround here. I’m not particularly good at running events but I was perfect forthe end result of the campaign so they chose me. And my is it a hard job.Setting things up with no one else to help; pleading Neopians to donate whatthey can to help, thank you again everyone; designing and actually building thenew Wheels. You think Illusen’s level 30 plus tasks are hard; try running acampaign set by the Neopian Conservation Society. Me: Right. I haveone final question to ask you Renny. Is the Neopian Conservation Societyplanning another campaign like this? For other prize giving attractions inNeopia? Renny: Wewouldn’t dare. After all the generous donations from Neopians across the globe,it’d be an absolute insult to ask for more. Besides, every other thing seems tobe running fine. Me: Are you sure?I’m sure there must be something that needs a little flair. Neopians would behappy to donate more. Renny: It’sperfectly alright. Besides, the economy is fine now. Me: What aboutthe economy? Renny: Nothing. Me: The Tombolaguy is getting stale, he even asks for donations now and then, and we give him.He could do with a new do. The Fruit Machine in Lost Desert, they use cards forcrying out loud. They need some help, besides; you never get the top prize fromthem anyway. Same goes for Test Your Strength. Listen Renny, other attractionsneed to be revamped, and Neopia will be happy to help. Renny: You think? Me: I know. Renny: I’ll gotell the society right away! Me: Thank you forthe interview Renny. And off he goes, one man on a mission to change Neopia. This was Aleonare the Blue Nimmo reporting live from theNeopian Conservation Society’s office saying; goodbye. - Hello there rascals! This is Aleonare the Blue Nimmoreporting live outside the Neopian Conservation Society where a riot haserupted over – Random Green Hissi:Those greedy people want us to donatemore of out Neopoints to help “Save the Dailies”. Weren’t our billions for theWheels enough? Me: Erm, thankyou? Yes, a riot erupted over the Neopian Conservation Society’s new campaignto help save Neopia’s dailies. This comes after the highly successful Save theWheels campaign. However, Neopians are saying that this is too much; theConservation Society is being greedy, insensitive. I agree to this. I’m sure itwasn’t particularly easy for some of us to donate to the Wheels, now this? Iwonder what possessed them. ***Question for Readers!Should I add the following? – Oh look, it’s Renny up there, pointing down at me. I thinkhe wants an interview, though he does look angry. Oh, now he’s gone. Let metalk to one of the rioters here. Renny: You! Me: Oh helloRenny, where would you like the interview to… be… held… -why are to looking atme like that? Renny? Renny: You better– Me: Run? Random rioter:They’re the Lenny, get him! -Transmission ends- ***Well, should I? Thanks for reading! ^_^ And please answer the question ;)
ΩCCΩ
This interview is really good! I think that you should add the last part but trim it a bit and make it more direct. Otherwise it is perfect! PS: The Grand Total is over 12,200,000 now. Good Luck!
Masaryk
That's a fun interview, Blue! I think it's really cute. It looks like your keyboard needs a new spacebar, though. :laughingsmiley: Otherwise, I think it's great.

antiaircraft
Great interview! It seems a little awkward here and there, but I assume that's part of the whole atmosphere. xD And I do think it would be quite a shame if you left the last bit out. ;)
