Hello there readers! It seems that the results for the 11th of June still haven't been announced. Fortunately, we have another interview from our on-field reporter Alberto to keep you occupied. Enjoy!

Known as one of the hardest teams to accurately predict, Team Meridell has surprised many fans during every single Cup. Meridell was usually a middle-ranked team, until Altador Cup III, where they stormed the Colosseum and captured fifth place. Many expected a repeat the next year. Unfortunately for Team Meridell, they fell all the way down to eleventh place - the fifth worst drop any team has experienced between two Cups. This year, the Knights retaliated and are (as of the time of this post) the best Yooyuball team in the tournament, with a 12-3-1 record, losing only to Darigan Citadel. Luckily for us, Meridell's very own team captain is here with us today, "Wizard" Windelle.

Thank you for joining us today, captain.

Windelle: My pleasure! I love talking to young folks such as yourself.

All right. Let's cut to the chase. How can you explain your drop in the last Altador Cup?

Windelle: To be honest, it was really just that we were celebrating a little too much after our fifth place finish. We slacked off in practice and were just a little cocky going into the last Cup.

As many of our readers know, you have made a turnaround this year, and have lost only one game. How has this been possible?

Windelle: Well, after our dreadful performance last year, King Skarl decided that we needed to vamp up our techniques and energy. We would practice for about five hours every day, and that was after jogging at least a few miles for a warm-up. Also, many of our citizens donated money to fund a new training arena in Meridell. Before, we had practised in the Colosseum when we could book it, but with 17 other teams, we only got about 15 days to practice there. With our new training arena, weather is not an issue for practising, and it's got our shield everywhere, so it's just a great place.

I see. Did you ever blame any of your teammates for your drop last year?

Windelle: Oh, goodness no! We all played an equal part in our failure, and I have no complaints about my team. All blame rests on me, as the team captain. It was my responsibility to motivate and train us, but I failed to do so.

How about some questions about the team. How do you all cooperate? Do you every disagree on anything?

Windelle: We all work out pretty well. Ilsa, Fiorina, and I have been on this team for every Cup, so we know our playing styles, when to pass, and so on. Gregorio has been on this team for 4 years, and he's been a a phenomenal player too. Yoris is helpful, too, but this is only his third Cup, so he sometimes lets a few goals in. It's really not his fault, but his size definitely doesn't help. As far as disagreement goes, we rarely fight. When we do, usually it's over something silly, like who has to put back all the Yooyus after practice.

Who would you consider to be the most valuable player on this team?

Windelle: That's hard to say, really. I would choose Ilsa because she's our only defender, and our great Yooyuball record has depended a lot on her ability to block the other team, and to get the ball back into our possession. She is the backbone of this team's success.

Would you consider anyone to be the least valuable player?

Windelle: Well, not really. We all give it our best and everyone on our team performs to the best of their ability.

Now, there have been some reports about you and a possible connection to certain Miss Mirsha Grelinek. Any comments?

Windelle: (cough) I have no idea what you are talking about. Next question please.

How do you feel going into the second round robin? Which teams are Team Meridell looking forward to playing? And which teams do you feel will rise up?

Windelle: I feel very confident knowing that, as the best Yooyuball team, we can place in the top tier. I don't expect us to drop in anything, only rise, and rise up to the top! But seriously, we're counting on our fans to try and bring up those side game statistics. They could be a little better, in my opinion. As for the teams that we are looking forward to playing again, they would be Shenkuu, Roo Island, Lost Desert, and Darigan Citadel. As for the rising stars of the second round robin, I think that they will be Maraqua, Shenkuu, and Brightvale. These teams have been a little bumpy this first round but I think they will definitely rise to the occasion and return with some serious firepower.

Any closing notes?

Windelle: (chuckle) Go Meridell! And to the other teams, remember: I'm not called "Wizard" WINdelle for nothing. (chuckles again)

Thank you, Captain. And readers, stay tuned for more team captain interviews, held with YOUR favourite Captains all throughout this Altador Cup!</p>

I second Krells interveiw and also, I still support an LV interveiw!

Wow, that cough must be getting contagious. :P

Btw, don't ask because it's an inide joke only certain people will get, but I laughed so hard at the cough that I actually fell off my bed and near took my laptop with me. xD

Great interveiw, and I love the closing thing. xD

I've heard something about Tandrak and the Lutari on SK but it's probably all rumor. ;)

Bertie & The Kau on LD(Forgot name)

Vonde and Jair

Elon and Hals

Mirsha and Wizard.

edit that post CAV, it's just too creepy for anyone to know o.o

Has Mirsha ever been interviewed?

What I said remains. I'll keep people puzzled at what I'm talking about.

And no she hasn't been interviewed.

I always though Ilsa was a guy. Why doesn't TNT tell you the gender so you avoid confusion?

Mirsha and Wizard.

THAT'S A LIE! IT'S-*remembers conversation again*

Uh....what was the conversation again?

I figured if there was any relationships, it would be of Wizard and Fiorina.

You guys have not interviewed my team captain, Krell Vitor! could you please?

I second Krells interveiw and also, I still support an LV interveiw!

Has Mirsha ever been interviewed?

I reckon she has not, and neither has Krell.

It's not always that easy to get hold of a team captain, but we should have a couple more interviews ready by the next bye day. ;)

Agreed! As an AC reporter, a definitive statement of AC player genders would be the single most valuable resource I can think of! xD

If I recall, haven't you already submitted an editorial question concerning that? :laughingsmiley:

That aside, I didn't imagine Windelle being quite like that, though I'm hardly one to talk.

That.

I never knew he was mature like that, I thought he was young like Barit. Nice interview as usual, a bit shorter than the previous ones?

How does an old Techo differ from a young one, in any case? Do they have wrinkles? Rheumy eyes? A beard? He doesn't have any hair to start with (is that a common feature of Techos?), so...

*shrug*

Maybe their tail falls off? o.o

No. Remember I played with MD for 3 years, and when Wizard scored a goal (I made him score a lot), he'd go down on his knees and raise his arms up in celebration. His tail was visible.

Along with telling the gender, they should also tell you the age.

Neopets DO have facial hair. On the April Fools' issue there were all sorts of articles about mustaches. :laughingsmiley: Roxton Colchester III, King Kelpbeard, etc.

Well, I'm sure that when the Neopets artists want to show a Neopet is old they can do it. They managed it on Finneus - by making it look like he was balding... but nevertheless.

King Skarl has a stub. And King Hagan has a full-on stache and beard combo.

I suppose Windelle's making a style statement by keeping his look young and fresh? :P

Alberto puts a little more effort into keeping his interviews concise and to the point than I do.
