I got it about a month ago. He's eaten my petpet twice since I got it. It will happen. I didn't think I was going to get it either. Then suddenly, bye 10k petpet. (Sadly, that was the cheapest of my petpets.)

Now this is just a theory, but it seems as though people with younger accounts have a slightly easier time getting some hard-to-get avvies (I say this because I assume your side accounts are younger than your main). I forget which one it was, but I got one in a few minutes when other friends with older accounts have never been able to get them.

 

I disagree. The only super random one I've gotten was turmy but I went to see him almost every day for 2 months and my accounts only 3 months old.

 

/nods/ I think Neopets is rigged to reward new accounts with looser REs, and then the more an account ages, the more far-between the REs are.

Well, if this is true I feel very sad because I feel like I've been jipped then. My one and only account is 3 months old and I've had to do a lot of refreshing for the avatars that I've gotten that way. :sad01_anim:

Hehe, yeah, when he ate mine I think it was my more expensive petpet but it was still only like 1k np although that was compared to my free gruslen I got from the wheel of monotony, so cute! Glad he didn't get eaten, I hope to get the avatar from him soon, yay! And I forget to even think about which pet I had active when I went to visit turmy since I thought they'd never really get eaten.

I got very careful. Once or twice, I forgot to switch, and went with my Shoryu, which has a Orbulon. I bought it for about 600k. They're up to 1.2 million now. So it wasn't too bad, considering it was only 10k. But I would have thrown a cheap petpet on my Cybunny if I'd realized they were worth that much.
